A Message From Our President
Dear friends,

As each of us begins to feel the unforeseen impacts of COVID-19 on our lives, our workplaces and our community, I am humbled and overwhelmed by your caring spirit and generosity towards Nicklaus Children's Hospital.

As Children's Hospital Week comes to a close, I want to personally share our immense gratitude for the outpouring of support we’ve received from many individuals and the local business community in recent weeks. From personal protective equipment to food and treats for those on the frontlines to much needed financial support to help us keep our children, families and staff safe – your contributions and encouragement have helped us stay hopeful and focused on what we are here to do... to deliver the best care for patients whose illnesses don’t stop because we are battling a pandemic.

Our doctors, nurses and clinical staff are nothing short of heroes. They are working around the clock to provide the medical treatment our young patients desperately need. Knowing that our community is coming together in such a big way to support our people and operations at Nicklaus Children’s keeps all of us moving forward.

Thank you for being a shining light for Nicklaus Children’s and the children we serve.
If you’re still looking for ways to help out or share good news, please continue reading below. As we look forward to better times in the weeks and months ahead, please stay healthy and safe.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Michelle Boggs

Protective Mask Donations Keep Nicklaus Children's Supplies Strong
As the world continues to face resource shortages of Personal Protective Gear, or PPE, due to COVID-19, our community has stepped up in amazing ways to donate tens of thousands of face masks so our supples are stocked and our healthcare workers and patients stay safe.

"The greatest strength of a city lies in the compassion of its people, and these efforts show just how strong we are as a city," says Dr. Chad Perlyn, M.D., pediatric surgeon and director of operating room.

Special thanks to:

Hearts for Healthcare Heroes
While most of the world has gone virtual, doctors, nurses and all healthcare workers are working to keep patients healthy and safe.

Nicklaus Children's Hospital has joined forces with other hospitals in Miami to thank our healthcare workers.

Join us in showing your support. Display a red or pink heart on your door or mailbox so our healthcare professionals can see them on the way to work. A little encouragement goes a long way.

On social media, visit the hashtag #HeartsForHealthcareWorkers to see more encouraging hearts!
