We are thrilled to report Foundation Rwanda: An Evening of Food & Fotos NY was a tremendous success and will allow us to keep 430 children in school this year thanks to your amazing support!
We are truly humbled by your generosity in donating your energy, art, cuisine and passion and send a heartfelt thanks for making the evening *truly* remarkable.
As this week marks the 18th anniversary of the genocide in Rwanda, I hope you are inspired to watch this 30 second video. I want to share a particularly poignant quote excerpted from my email correspondence with the first boy you will see in the video whose mother, Beatrice, I visited in Rwanda last month:
"Thank you," he writes, "for the support you give us." "This helps us not to be slaves of the history of our families and our country in general."
On behalf of Beatrice's son and the 830 children Foundation Rwanda currently sponsors education for, we hope you will continue to learn more about Foundation Rwanda's work and find meaningful ways to be involved.
