K i c k  o f f  O c t o b e r  5 !

This year we decided to do something a little different for our annual fundraiser...something that will build character and encourage students to serve our community, while also raising funds for our school. The Do Good a-thon will kick-off on October 5th and run until October 19th.

Our goal for the 2017/18 school year is two-fold:
  • Raise $35,000 (~$100 per student) primarily to supply the new Innovation Lab with added technology.
  • Promote a culture of kindness and service among our student community.
Registration starts on October 5. For more information and a list of prizes, go to  www.foxmillpta.com/dogood.

We can't wait to see the positive effect your participation in this fundraiser will have on our school and in our community!

GRACE
What is the GRACE Art Program?   Established in 1976 by the Greater Reston Arts Center to supplement children's arts experience in school.  Funded by our PTA, GRACE Art is presented in each classroom by parent volunteers.  A few of this year's topics are Ancient Egyptian art and Andy Warhol.

What do I do as a GRACE Art Docent?   After introducing the topic for the month, you guide the children through a fun, hands-on art project using materials we make available to you. It's simple and fun!

New to Fox Mill?   Come to GRACE Art's general information meeting October 18 at 9:00 am in the cafeteria!

Been a Docent Volunteer before?   Join us for our first artist meeting November 1 at 9:00 am in the cafeteria!

sun camera Submit Yearbook photos!yearbook
Make sure your child, his/her class, and all the fun they have at Fox Mill are preserved in the yearbook!

Take a few photos during any school activity and send them to fmesyearbook@gmail.com. As long as they aren't blurry and show kids' faces, they're perfect---cell phone pictures are great! Spirit days, class parties, candid shots of students working or with their reading buddies, eating lunch in the cafeteria, field trips---we'll need photos of them all.
