Superintendent's Message
As we close out another school year it is important to pause to reflect and celebrate on what has been accomplished throughout the year.

Parents, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to prepare your children to access rigorous college and career coursework in high school.  Our performance data continues to show that our students are making gains.

Bond and Facilities Update
Franklin-McKinley School District's Measure H passes with a 77% yes vote. Measure H will help to repair and update leaky roofs, replace outdated electrical systems, and make safety upgrades to ensure all schools meet the same educational and safety standards.

Five Franklin-McKinley Schools Named to California Honor Roll
Franklin-McKinley School District recognized five schools that have been selected by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE)  as one of 1,714 public schools in California to receive the title of 2015 Honor Roll school. They are: G.W. Hellyer, Jeanne R. Meadows, Ramblewood, George Sr. Shirakawa, and Stonegate Elementary Schools.

Keeping Kids  Healthy & Happy this Summer
Take the time this summer to visit your child's primary health physician or one of our various partners. Health checkups are important to detect any health problems and potentially correct them before your child returns to school in the fall. Teach your child about the importance of health checkups and remember to keep your child physically active and eating healthy this summer. 

Summer Breakfast & Lunch Program
Summer is here and Franklin-McKinley School District wants to ensure no child goes hungry.  Children under the age of 18 can enjoy a FREE breakfast and lunch at any of the Franklin-McKinley Summer School locations. 

 
Back-to-School Resources for Families
Franklin-McKinley School District has partnered with the Salvation Army of Silicon Valley to provide eligible families with FREE backpacks, shoes, and clothing for the new school year. Now accepting applications!

Talking to your Kids about Social Media
Social media isn't simply a way of life for kids -- it's life itself. To help them keep their online interactions safe, productive, and positive, we offer a few tips from Common Sense Media, a non-profit agency that provides education and advocacy to families to promote safe technology and media for children.
