Starbucks moving to Long John Silver building in Central Park

Starbucks has signed a lease to take over the former Long John Silver location at 1699 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Central Park. Starbucks will renovate the existing building, which will have a drive-through and is scheduled to open in April 2018. Starbucks will relocate from its inline space across the street at 1670 Carl D. Silver Parkway.    
Escape Room coming to downtown Fredericksburg

Connect Games Escape Room has leased the space at 1011 Caroline St. and plans to open soon. Escape rooms are a really fun activity that allow groups to try to get out of a locked room using a series of clues. It will be a great addition to downtown Fredericksburg.
Fred is Fun!

We are happy to roll out a new video series called "Fred is Fun" that takes a look at the many great things about Fredericksburg from a child's perspective. We worked with Enterprise Screen Video Communications on the series, which features the Motts Run Reservoir, Benny's Pizza, Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop and the local branch of the Children's Museum of Richmond. Enjoy!

Fredericksburg deeds for November

Billiken's opening Friday

Billiken's Smokehouse at The Chimneys will open Friday (tomorrow) at 623 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg. This will be the second location for owners Greg and Sharon Shalawylo (the other one is at Lake Anna).

Fredericksburg sees jobs, business growth

The City of Fredericksburg gained nearly 800 jobs during the second quarter of 2017, according to recently released data from the Virginia Employment Commission. Fredericksburg's average employment during the three months ending June 30 was 24,962, up from 24,175 the previous quarter and 24,198 in the second quarter of 2016. The number of business 
establishments rose to 1,672 during the quarter, up from
1,649 in the first quarter. The data are from the VEC's 
Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages.

Preliminary subdivision plat submitted for Highlander Park
