Fred Gansky & LA Singles Society’s Eighth Annual Memorial Day Weekend Dinner Dance
Wow, has another year come and gone so fast?! It seems like only yesterday that we were putting together our 2011 party.
It’s been a tradition for us to welcome summer with this event each year at my home in the Tarzana hills (4145 Nogales Dr, 91356).
As usual, we will have barbeque fare: hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken. We’ll also serve a vegetable salad, and a pasta salad. And, we’ll have soft drinks and bottles of water. Because of insurance limitations there will again be no alcohol served or be allowed to be brought on to the premises.
Our entertainment for the night will be our talented friend David Maestro with a female accompanist, Kenyatta Mackey. They entertained us at last year's event. Both will sing, and David plays the guitar and keyboard piano. http://www.myspace.com/davidmaestro/music/songs?filter=featured
The party, on Sunday, May 27, will start at 6:00 PM sharp, with food being served until 7:30 PM. The holiday will be celebrated on Monday so we have all evening to enjoy ourselves. Last year we had 145 people. As usual we will promote this event to more than 80 Meetup groups, and singles organizations of all kinds throughout the southland. More than 15,000 people will see our invitation.

There is ample street parking on Nogales Dr., but come early to get a close-in spot.
My home can be easily reached from the Ventura Fry. Exit Reseda and go south toward the hills. Make a right at the third stop sign after Ventura Blvd, Rosita. Then make a left at the second stop sign, Nogales, and proceed one mile up the hill. The home is on the right side at the top of the hill.

This will be a seated speed-dating format. The ladies will remain in the same seat and the men will rotate (I will do my best to keep it at 50% men & 50% women)>br>
This event is designed to take away the stress of dating and meeting people for the first time.
It is a non-confrontational format:
You will be given a card. On this card you will write the names of each person you meet and write YES or NO next to their name if you are interested in getting to know them more.
I will then review the cards and if you have "mutual matches" (meaning you said YES about someone and they also said YES about you) then I will send you their contact information (within 2 days of the event) so you can contact each other if you wish and get to know each other a little better. Please do not ask for personal information at the event.
Within 2 days, (most likely sooner) Jill will send you the contact information for people who indicated they would like to meet you AS LONG AS you indicated that you are also interested in them.
PAYMENT POLICY: In all fairness to the others who are attending this event, please be advised of the following:
Cost is $22.00 if paid by May 24th (which includes a drink). You may RSVP at any time but be sure to pay by the 24th - I will send a reminder as we get closer.
If you pay after the 24th, the cost is $27.00 (which includes a drink). Still a bargain!
You may get a refund if you cancel before the 24th. After the 24th, there are no refunds.
