To make your summertime yoga feel a little lighter--especially on your wallet!--we're bringing back our annual hot weather deal: The Summer Class Card. For just 40 bucks, you get five (5!) regular weekly yoga classes. That's just $8 per class.
The card will go on sale June 1. If you have an active class card when you purchase the deal, the Summer Card will kick in when the regular card is used up. 
If you use up your first 5 for $40 card before the end of July, you can buy another. The sale ends July 31.
The Fine Print: The cards are not available to Monthly Unlimited membership holders. The Summer Cards cannot be shared. It is valid only for regular weekly classes (both $15 and $10), and may not be used for special events or workshops. Card expires Sept. 1, 2013. No classes may be used after that date.

Jenna Price is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher living in Mount Airy. She completed her training at Blue Banyan Yoga Studio. She teaches Vinyasa Yoga and embraces the philosophy that yoga can be for everyone. In addition to teaching all levels Vinyasa classes, she teaches classes structured specifically for children, the elderly, those with limited mobility, and other special populations.

This two-hour session will focus on the yoga postures, stretches, breathing and relaxation techniques that have been proven to relieve anxiety and stress. 
Whether your anxiety exhibits itself through muscle tension, panic attacks, depression or fear-filled episodes, this workshop will offer a path to navigate through the storm and back onto safe ground. Using specific yoga techniques, you will learn how to, recognize the early warning symptoms of an anxiety attack, release chronic muscle tension, slow a pounding heart and calm a racing mind. 
You will leave this workshop armed with a better understanding of your thought/anxiety/stress process, and tools to help soothe and guide you through them.

For those who have always wanted to try yoga, but don't know their down dog from their up dog. 


In this special four-week series, beginners will learn all the absolute basics of yoga--from the special way we breathe to the most effective methods to relieve muscle tension. We will break down the physical postures, teach them how to support themselves safely and provide tips for working with any physical obstacles, like inflexibility or back pain. 


Expect to leave this workshop with a working knowledge of yoga and a comfort level that will allow you to step into your next yoga class with ease and confidence.
