Two Free Patterns

This year, we took linen stitch to the limit -- knit and crochet, in two wonderful yarns.

Two-Toned Twill Scarf

Knitters on the Tour jumped on our Two-Tone Twill Scarf We used two colors of Isager Alpaca Merino 2, and knit two versions.

At left, see what  happens when you use two contrasting colors . There are more photos on our web page that show a version with subtle tonal shading.

Crochet Linen Stitch LYS

The crocheters and even many knitters were drawn to the Crocheted 'Linen-Stitch' Scarf (right).

For the Tour, we showcased it in Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Sock

You can also crochet it it in any variegated sock-weight yarn. We're going to try it next in Koigu KPPPM.

We just swatched (and loved!) it in Rowan Fine Art (currently our seasonal Featured Fave at 20% off!). There are several manly shades that would make a handsome scarf.

If you made it to our shop during the Ninth Annual LYS Tour, thanks for dropping by! If not, join the fun vicariously with these free patterns.

Until Next Time,
