Finding Your Tribe
The most common concern voiced by my students is t
hat those they felt closest to now seem to be so different from them. At one time family and friends shared similar interests and beliefs, but now that the students have been led to a different path, this new path sometimes feels lonely or isolating.
I know how that feels. When the Center was started, natural therapies like Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy were relatively unknown. Those closest to me were supportive, but couldn't relate to what I was experiencing and learning. I wanted a place where I felt like I belonged. Where I didn't need to explain my beliefs.
I wanted a tribe.
It is often said that there is the family that you are born into and the family that you create. You'll love both families in different ways, but sometimes the family that you create will help your soul find a home.
With my most sincere gratitude to our students, clients, practitioners, instructors and many friends, you are not only the foundation of our shared tribe, but a place that our souls can now call
