Oil colour has been around for 600 years but it can still be daunting. Luckily Winsor & Newton has been at it for long time too! In this demonstration the demo artist will help take the mystery out of oil painting and the products used to create them. Artists in attendance will learn rules such as fat over lean that will help them create paintings of long lasting permanence as well as fundamentals of colour mixing, pigments, proper varnishing and an introduction to Liquin mediums. Each attendee will receive a sample pack of Artists' Oil Colour materials.

Looking for a place to teach a class?
Here's some exciting information about Hull's new learning space.
Beginning in October, Hull's will be making this room available to community arts groups or art teachers who would like a place to be able to teach a class at little or no cost. The room will be available during normal Hull's business hours. The space is large enough to accommodate up to 20 participants depending on the type of event. Unfortunately, it is located on the second floor and is only accessible via stairs.
