THIS WEEK IN SEWICKLEY

These days, the message is that retail is DYING and there's no way that Main Streets can compete, blah blah.

And  during  #NationalSmallBusinessWeek , we've gotta say... we are getting tired of this negative message. While it might be true that the Internet is a tough nut to crack, we know that the retail aspect of a downtown is still vital. While retail may not solely drive activity downtown, local shops would be absolutely missed if they weren't there.

Main streets are about shopping. And eating. And going to the dentist who knows you by name. And strolling through street festivals, grabbing coffee, running to the gym, hanging out on a bench in the sun enjoying an ice cream cone with your neighbors and friends. So thank you for supporting Sewickley and all of the efforts to keep this community wonderful... keep  #shoppingSewickley!

PARKING IN SEWICKLEY

The Sewickley Parking Authority  is working diligently to address the issues  that the community has experienced with the pay stations and the Meter Feeder mobile app.

The Parking Authority has compiled a list of  Frequently Asked Questions which can also be found on the webpage.

Explore Sewickley has been gathering feedback and will continue to do so to assist where we can. While the Parking Authority is working through the signage and education process,  you can  download Explore Sewickley's ( rudimentary!)   version of the map here

If you have additional feedback about the meters or the pay stations, please feel free to stop by Explore Sewickley, call or email us. You can also contact members of the Parking Authority or the Sewickley Borough Manager at the Municipal building (601 Thorn Street).
