Q. What is FCBD all about?
FCBD is a day where the whole industry gets together to promote comic books. Giving them out for free for new and old fans alike!
Q. What books are given out?
Each year the different publishers put out books especially for
FCBD. And each comic book store has the option to order the ones they think their customers will like.
Here at Black Cat Comics we do it a little different. We have 2 different packs to choose from each containing 6 comics + 2 more on top of that! If you bring cans of food you'll also get to pick 1 more book off the table - while supplies last! The first 100 folks through the door will also get something extra special!
Q. Why don't you order all the FCBD comics?
Not all the FCBD books are all-ages appropriate. We want to ensure that the books we choose are accessible for everyone.
Q. You run out so fast, why don't you order more comics?
Little known fact - we actually pay for the FCBD comics, not a lot but when you buy over 1,000 it adds up! This year in order to ensure that everyone who shows up gets a pack we're limiting the packs to
1 pack per household. Comics are for sharing! Each person will still get the option to pick out their additional 2 titles.
Q. What time should I get here to get a free pack?
Folks start lining up earlier and earlier each year. If you're in line by 8:30 a.m. you should be all set. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
Q. What are the sales that day?
All of our back issues bins comics will be 90% off and everything else in the store will be 25% off!
