Prior to The Grand's presentation of MacHomer on May 20, Delaware Shakespeare Festival will fill the lobby of the baby grand with Shakespearean and Renaissance fun and entertainment. There will be music and Shakespeare performances from area high school students, a sneak peek of DSF's 10th Anniversary production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, children's activities, and a special guest appearance by Queen Elizabeth herself (the first one, of course).
DSF encourages one and all to come in Shakespearean costume. The best-dressed guest will win tickets to The Grand and DSF. (Click here for more information on the Costume Competition.)
The grand finale of The Bard's Lobby Faire will be the "Lay on, Macduff!" Contest. Entrants will compete to give the most crazed, enthusiastic version of Macbeth's final line ("Lay on, Macduff, and damn'd be him who first cries, Hold, enough."). The winner will take home tickets to The Grand and DSF. (Click here for more information on the "Lay on, Macduff!" Contest.)
The Bard's Lobby Faire is free and open to the public. It's all part of DSF's 10th Anniversary Celebrations. Come one and come all!
