This Saturday, March 31, there is a KidsKup event at Sam Houston National Forest Double Lake Recreation Center, near Coldspring, TX, as part of GHORBA's Big Ring Challenge TMBRA Race.
BikeTexas KidsKup introduces youth, from 18 months up to 12 years old, to basic bike safety and handling skills in a fun outdoor environment. From strider bikes and training wheels to 24" wheels, everyone's welcome!
Registration is from 12pm to 2pm. The safety clinic starts at 2pm, with racing starting immediately following the clinic. The BikeTexas KidsKup is FREE but there may be a charge to enter the park.
Double Lake Recreation Area is located at 301 FM 2025 Rd, Coldspring, TX 77331 - click here for Google Maps location. To get there: From Hwy-59 in Cleveland, take FM 2025 north 17 miles and turn right at Double Lake. From I-45, exit at New Waverly and take SH 150 east for 25 miles.
