Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow Cream!
Hit the waves at Capitola's newest dessert shop, Off the Block, serving up unique treats with a twist, like snow cream.
What is snow cream, you ask? It starts with organic milk, is made in-house, and is shaved into lusciously light, tissue paper thin ribbons of melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. Choose your toppings and enjoy your treat in the shop or sit along the Esplanade and watch the waves while eating wavy ice cream.
Off the Block also serves up popular Boba tea drinks, and for those chilly days, you can indulge in a Ghiradelli hot cocoa or a warm mug cake baked fresh to order and topped with real ice cream. Dairy-free options are also available.
Mouthwatering Treats for a Charitable Cause
OTB owner Shaye Carter is excited to bring snow cream to Capitola Village and give back to the local community. For every item purchased, customers will receive a blue token worth $ .25 to donate to one of three local charities representing children, the environment, and animals.
Current charitable partners include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Surfrider Foundation, and Native Animal Rescue. Show your support for these organizations and try Snow Cream next time you're in the Village.
Off the Block's Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting takes place on Friday, December 9 at 3PM. Bring the kids for face painting and enter to win free Snow Cream or Boba for a year, plus other great prizes.
Off the Block is located at 115 San Jose Ave. in the Mercantile. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
