Andy Evansen
June 6-8, 9am-4pm
Watercolor   $495
In this workshop, you'll discuss ways to simplify a scene into larger shapes that will help you paint more boldly. Value studies are emphasized from the outset.  Andy will complete at least one demonstration painting each day, covering topics such as drawing, skies, trees, buildings, water, and figures.  By the end of the class, each student should have enough information to help them on their path to painting impressionistic watercolors.

John Clayton
June 2-4, 9am-4pm
Oil  $325
Each day John Clayton will demonstrate using a palette knife. He will simplify the scene to flat masses and develop values and exciting color notes. Students will learn how to mix key colors, in an expressive creative way
Carol Maguire

June 14-16, 9am-4pm

Oil  $395
There will be lots of personal attention in this instructional and spirited three day workshop! Learn what it takes to make a painting that looks fresh and painterly. Observing directly from life you will learn how to capture the light and apply paint boldly. Each day will start with a demo and exercises. You will be guided through gestural oil sketches for composition and flow, value tonal sketches to establish the lights and darks, and color mixing exercises. Have fun with Carol in this dynamic workshop!
Kathy Anderson

June 19-21,  9am-4pm
Oil   $495
This 3 day workshop will consist of 2 plein air days in some of Cape Cod's beautiful gardens, and one studio day. As you paint outdoors Kathy will show you how to simplify a garden scene with big shapes and a strong block in. The studio day will focus on how to design a floral still life that has a fresh and natural look with lots of movement.  Students then will set up their own still lifes in the afternoon. You'll talk about how to finish the painting using digital images, or how to set up again at home.
