A quick update on the two new, free photo-walk courses that Graham and Natalie are running in May:
  • First Steps in Photography - now fully booked
  • Photos from the Foothpath - PLACES AVAILABLE 
Starting on 24th May, there are two intakes - morning (10-1) and afternoon (2-5) - for the PftF Thursday photo-walks course.
 
Photos From The Footpath - FREE

"Photos from the Footpath" is a six week photo-walk course being run in conjunction with Oxford House, Bethnal Green.

Anyone is welcome to sign up, but we'd especially like to bring together young adults (16-25) and older East End residents (50+). You don't need any previous experience of photography.

We'll explore different walking routes around Bethnal Green with group and 1:1 tuition on camera techniques and composition. The course ends with making a photo book and a group exhibition.

  • Priority will be given to Tower Hamlets residents

The films and photographs of British artist Gillian Wearing explore our public personas and private lives.  

 

This Turner Prize winner's remarkable works draw on fly-on-the-wall documentaries, reality TV and the techniques of theatre, to explore how we present ourselves to the world.

 

*Residents must present a valid proof of residency in Tower Hamlets (postcodes: E1, E2, E3 and E14). This can be a recent council tax or utility bill.  

 

And you can bring a friend if they have a voucher from East End life. Each person must have residency proof or a voucher.
