On Saturday, July 29, county officials cut the ribbon to Lake Woof dog park and other park improvements at John Prince Park! Other park improvements include accessible six-foot wide asphalt and concrete circular paths in each area, park benches along the pathways, and asphalt bike/pedestrian trails that connect to the rest of the park. Lake Woof features five enclosed landscaped dog areas with designated areas for large to small dogs, spanning more than four acres, five gazebos with benches, drinking fountains with pet fountains attached, dog wash areas, doggie bag stations and trash receptacles.

Ladies Night Out- Southwinds Golf Course
Head to Southwinds Golf Course, Boca Raton the first Thursday of each month for Ladies Night Out. Next event is Thurs, Aug 3, 5-8 p.m. Participants will enjoy a 9-hole 4-person scramble event. $20/participant and includes golf fees, prizes, food and one drink ticket.
Celebration of the Arts- VSAFL
Enjoy a dance and theater performance and the debut of the gallery exhibition at CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex, Lake Worth Fri, Aug 4, 7-9 p.m. Evening will include an opportunity to meet the artists, actors and dancers. Participate in Family Swim- Sat, Aug 5 & 19, 10 a.m. , Parent and Child Aquatics- Mondays & Wednesdays, now-Sept 20, 10 a.m. , and Aqua Arthritis- Fridays, now-Sept 29, 10 a.m. Registration is on-going.

Destination Recreation: Episode 4

There's Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, Canyon Amphitheater in Canyon District Park in Boynton Beach, and Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park in Jupiter. Major Series of Putting- Osprey Point Golf Course
Osprey Point Golf Course in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park, west of Boca Raton is excited to host the Major Series of Putting. Participate in the local qualifier event Mon, Aug 14 for a chance to make it to Las Vegas for the finals. Participation for the first round is FREE!
Junior Naturalist Series- Green Cay Nature Center
This series is designed for youth who are interested in nature and outdoor activities. Participate in six sessions, Wed-Fri, Aug 16-18, 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. & 12-3 p.m. at Green Cay Nature Center, Boynton Beach. Ages 9-14, $10/session, $50/all six. RSVP required.
Story Time- Okeeheelee Nature Center
Introduce little ones to Mother Nature through stories Tues, Aug 22, 10:30 a.m. at Okeeheelee Nature Center in Okeeheelee Park, west of West Palm Beach. This program will focus on a fan favorite, owls! Ages 2-5, $2/child. RSVP required.
Fall Programs- West Boynton Recreation Center
Registration for fall programs at West Boynton Recreation Center, Boynton Beach starts in August. Programs include no school rec days, men's and coed recreational softball and youth basketball league.
