HEALTHY ZONE SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT
Read all about the Singer Chefs.

Students at Sigler Elementary, a third-year Healthy Zone School, are learning to prepare simple, quick, and delicious after-school snacks through their cooking club, Sigler Chefs.

Sigler Chefs is an after school cooking club available to second, third, and fourth grade students who are selected by their primary class teacher. Each week, students are able to prepare at least two healthy snacks while discussing the importance of healthy eating, kitchen safety, and more.

In addition, Title I teacher and Sigler Chefs club sponsor, Melinda Hoover focuses on incorporating basic ingredients that most of the students will likely have at home so that they are able to recreate what they've learned.
