L.A. High School Administrators
Attempt to Intimidate
and Silence Survivors

by Sarah Durling, Campus Life Team Member

We went to UCLA the other day and that was the most apathetic campus I have ever seen.  But my article is not about UCLA, it is about the high school that we went to after!

As we arrived at Dolsey High School in Los Angeles, we planned where to place ourselves. Mary Rose and I headed to the front of the school while Brianna and Vince planned to hand out pro-life literature to students driving out or walking that way.

Mary Rose and I stood at the corner outside of the school's auditorium waiting for the students to get out at three o'clock.  The clock struck three and no bell went off.  We waited, and waited, and waited, until the bell finally rang. We were at the corner ready to hand out tons of literature to students, but no one came out of the building near where we stood.  Apparently we were standing in front of the wrong exit!

Down the street, at another exit for the school, tons of students were flooding out and we were missing them!  So I folded up my signs discreetly and made my way towards the kids to show them the truth of abortion.  I walked over to a piece of sidewalk and planted myself there.  I thought that Mary Rose was right behind me, but discovered she was a little further back.  At first I thought that I should wait for her, but then realized I would miss a bunch of kids.  So I flipped my signs around and showed the truth to every student standing in front of me.

There were screams, there were gasps, and then there were administrators. . . .Read more HERE!

Too Little Liberty: The Survivors Arrested in Washington D.C.

by Jayne White, Campus Life Team Member

My father, Jeff White, and I were sitting in his office February 10, 2012 when he received a call from Rev. Pat Mahoney.  If you've ever befriended a person who is exceedingly charismatic, noisy, innovative, enigmatic or energetic than you can imagine Rev. Mahoney.  He called, excitement in his voice, asking my father to come to Washington, D.C. for an event to be a prophetic witness in front of the White House.  He also asked that we send someone to represent Survivors.  We had to ask him to backtrack and tell us what it was all about!

Recently, the HHS issued a mandate, reaffirmed by the Obama administration, which required all religious organizations to supply, complimentary, abortion-inducing drugs as part of health insurance provided for their employees.  We had heard enough to make a decision.  We told Rev. Mahoney to expect the Survivors in D.C. the next week; that we wouldn't miss this opportunity to help kindle an apathetic U.S.A.

The following rainy Thursday found us in front of the White House.  I've come to the conclusion that if D.C. knows you're planning an event within its borders, it will summon rain.  Always does, always will.  In addition to the rain, we had to deal with police.  They were well informed on what we had planned for the morning, and because they weren't expecting any surprises, everything looked like it would roll out as planned. . . .Read more HERE!

Survivors Take a Stand at OC Obama Fundraiser, Secret Service
Push Away the Message

by Kristina Garza, Campus Outreach Director

It was an early morning for the Campus Life Team.  At 4:30 A.M. we were out the door, beating traffic to Corona del Mar, to set up our displays in front of Geoffrey and Nancy Stack's residence for a campaign fundraiser for President Obama.  We had prepared banners that read "President Obama, protect our religious freedom," and "Freedom of Conscience for all" that we were eager for our president to see.

In January, President Obama passed the HHS mandate, which will require all employers to pay for contraception, sterilization, and abortion inducing-drugs regardless of their moral or conscientious objections. The mandate is just another step in Obama's obvious abortion-on-demand agenda, but, more immediately, the HHS mandate shows a total disregard for freedom of religion -- a constitutional right that our government is supposed to protect.

So, while some of the Survivors traveled to D.C. to stand against this mandate in front of the White House, the Campus Life Team stayed back in California for a chance to protest the mandate at a fundraiser Obama would actually be attending.

On Thursday morning, we set up our demonstration in front of the fundraiser's location, but Secret Service agents quickly ordered us to move, telling us that the entire neighborhood was a "secure zone".

40 Days for Life Spring Campaign Starts THIS WEDNESDAY, Feb. 22

This Wednesday local pro-life advocates across the nation will kickoff the biggest 40 Days for Life Spring Campaign ever!

258 Cities across the country! Is yours one of them?

40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:
  • Prayer & Fasting
  • Constant vigil
  • Community outreach

Survivors encourages EVERYONE to participate in this amazing time of prayer and fasting.  Our prayers make a difference in the pro-life movement, and with all that has taken place this past year -- Planned Parenthood going under investigation, Obama's HHS Mandate, abortionists up on criminal charges -- we need to make absolute certain that our hearts and minds are focused on what God has called us to do: fight for Life!

The 40 Days Campaign is a wonderful and effective way to do just that, and save lives in the process!

Click here to find out if there's a 40 Days Campaign in your city.  If there's not, start one!  All you need is a prayerful heart and a willingness to stand.

Mission Statement

Compelled by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and our respect for life, the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust speak out on behalf of over 50,000,000 children lost to abortion in America since 1973.  Dedicated to defending the right to life of future generations, we are engaged in a battle to end America's genocide. We recognize the urgency of this war, as over 3,000 children die each day in the United States because of abortion.

The Survivors encourage and empower the youth of today as they dare to rise up against the slaughter of innocent children through abortion. We are committed to educating and equipping young activists who have a heart for the preborn and are willing to be used by God to "Defend those unjustly sentenced to death." (Proverbs 24:11)
