The WACA National Office this month recognizes the
Foreign Policy Association
for programming excellence - especially its
World Leadership Forum
- and for ongoing sponsorship of the Great Decisions keynote at the WACA National Conference.
The FPA has held the World Leadership Forum annually for the past 16 years. The list of attendees, participants, and lecturers include distinguished guests from the corporate, political, and social realms.
This year, panel discussion topics ranged from international economic issues and trade, international organizations, the environment, the impending U.S. presidential elections, and more. Secretary-General of the UN,
H.E. Ban Ki-moon
, delivered a keynote address on the importance of the United Nation's humanitarian, peacekeeping, and environmental missions in the face of a world with decreasingly significant borders.
Panelists include:
Anders Fogh Rasmussen
, former Secretary General of NATO and Prime Minister to Denmark;
