Today, there was an after-hours and water-related emergency in Rancho Cordova. We would like to clarify whom and what numbers to call for water-related emergencies.

 

First, please contact your water provider: Golden State Water (800) 999-4033, California American Water (888) 237-1333, and Sacramento County Water (916) 875-7246.

 

Second, please contact (916) 851-8700 and press 1 for Public Works.

 

For other after-hours emergencies, please contact (916) 851-8700 and press 1 for Public Works (traffic signals, road hazards, etc.), press 2 for Code Enforcement (issues regarding rental properties i.e. lack of heat, sewage leaks, roof links, etc.), and press 3 for Building & Safety (gas leaks, electrical hazards, etc.) For Animal Services 24-hour line (complaints or injured animals), call (916) 851-8852. Please store these phone numbers for use in an after-hours emergency situation.

 

In case of a life threatening emergency, please call 911.

 

COOLING CENTER AVAILABLE

 

Temperatures this week are forecast at upwards of 100 degrees in Rancho Cordova. To beat the heat, Rancho Cordova City Hall will be a cooling center from Tuesday, July 28th through Thursday, July 30th.

 

The cooling center will be open from Noon to 8 p.m. all three days at 2729 Prospect Park Drive. Signage will direct you to the cooling center room.

 

Water will be provided in addition to periodic free movie showings. Please note pets cannot be accommodated at Rancho Cordova City Hall.
