Be part of a classic Cordova High Pep Rally and some inspirational fire-up talk from 6-8 p.m. Plan to stay as it gets dark at 8 p.m. for a special Moonlight Movies bonus showing of a football movie favorite: "Remember the Titans." Rancho Cordova Luncheon - Friday, August 21st, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Rancho Cordova City Hall, 2729 Prospect Park Drive This month's guest speaker is Congressman Ami Bera, reporting on activities in the nation's capital and how it affects you in Rancho Cordova. Neighborhood Walk with the Mayor - Saturday, August 22nd, 8:30 a.m. Meet at Sunrise Elementary School, 11821 Cobble Brook Drive Enjoy fresh air, meet your neighbors, and talk to Mayor Robert J. McGarvey. Light refreshments will be served at 8:30 a.m. and the one-mile walk starts at 9 a.m. This is the third of six Neighborhood Walks with the Mayor this year. Call for Artists: Fall Art Show Local artists are invited to create something wonderful for the Fall Art Show, running October 15th to January 2016 at Rancho Cordova City Hall, 2729 Prospect Park Drive. This is an all media show (sorry, no video or large sculpture) and anything goes! Those wishing to participate should be registered on the Rancho Cordova Artist Database - register now. Art drop off for jurying is on Thursday, September 17th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Rancho Cordova City Hall. Save the date!
