Spring Signing Day

Crean Lutheran celebrated six student-athletes on Wednesday, April 11 who signed their letter of intent to play sports in college. Well done Saints!

Boys Basketball Coaching Announcement
Crean Lutheran High School is pleased to announce Nathan Klitzing as the new Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. He has served as a basketball coach and teacher at Orange Lutheran High School for the past four years.

Stop and Think Twice Week -
April 16 - 20
In partnership with the Irvine Police Department, CLHS will be hosting Stop and Think Twice Week to promote positive decision making during end-of-the-year activities. The week of assemblies and activities will address vehicle safety, substance abuse, stress and anxiety management, and social media practices.

Monday will follow the Assembly Schedule.

Jamaica Mission Trip Recap
The Jamaica Mission trip team is home safe. On their trip, they were able to lend a hand at the Jamaica Deaf Village assisting with relational ministry and campus maintenance. During their stay, the students had an opportunity to learn about the awesome work the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf is doing to empower the Deaf community.
Spring Musical - April 19 & 20
The Performing Arts Department is hosting Crean Lutheran's second annual musical, High School Musical, on April 19 and 20. The performance will be held at the CLHS Event Center. Seating is limited. Tickets are available online and at the front desk. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students.

Prom - April 21
Prom is being held at the Yost Theater on Saturday, April 21. Guest forms for all new guests for the 2017-18 school year must be submitted for approval by Wednesday, April 18.

Poetry Night - April 25
The English Department is hosting the fourth annual Night of Published Poet Presentations and Poignant Poetry Proclamations on Wednesday, April 25. The event will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in room 207A.

Senior Micki Paugh was awarded the Julia Jacobson Junior Auxiliary Scholarship by Hoag Hospital. The award is reserved for outstanding seniors in the Candy Striper Program.
Crean Lutheran students Clara Sherwin (1st place), Zoe McFarlane (2nd place) and Kirsten Slane (honorable mention) took the top three prizes at the annual High School Art Exhibition hosted at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. 
The girls basketball team won the CIF-SS Academic Team award! The team will be honored at the Academic Awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 1, at Angel Stadium. They will be awarded a championship banner during a 6:45 p.m. ceremony prior to the Angels game.
The choir was blessed with an opportunity to tour in Hawaii over Easter break. One stop included a performance at Trinity Lutheran School where former CLHS Dean Mrs. Corissa Sheets serves as the principal .
