OC Register Artists of the Year
CLHS is pleased to announce that two Saints were named Artist of the Year by the OC Register.

Senior Isabelle Erlanson is the 2018 Artist of the Year in the discipline of dance.


Senior Jung Min Lee is the Artist of the Year in the discipline of 3D visual arts.

Girls Basketball CIF Academic Award
On May 1 the girls basketball team will be recognized at the Angel Game as the CIF Academic Team of the year. CLHS family and friends will be sitting in the Right Field Pavilion. Tickets are available for purchase through the Angels Box Office.

Poetry Night Recap
On Wednesday, the English Department hosted its Fourth Annual Poetry Night with a record-breaking number of poetry presenters, including over 30 original poems. Special recognition goes to:

-The team of Su Kim, Eric Kim, Molly O'Brien, and Olivia Song for their "Ode to Glen" which won the Most Creative Presentation award;
-Sutton Berg for his rendition of Billy Collins' "The Lanyard" which won the Best Poem Recitation award; and
-Morgan Nichols for her poem "Ragdoll" which won the Best Original Poem award.
UCI Educator Awards
Coach Robby Cherry and Dean Eleanor Beavis were selected by Saints Alumni John Loke and Brianna Abendroth to be honored at UCI's Educator Recognition Dinner. John and Brianna selected them for the significant impact they made on their academic performance and successful entrance into UCI.

Summer Programs: Summer School & Sports
Crean Lutheran offers a variety of UC A-G approved summer school classes as well as sports training programs from June - August.


Junior Josh Yang was recently named the Academy League Boys Soccer MVP and also named to the Division 6 Boys Soccer All-CIF team. This is the first time a CLHS Boys Soccer player has earned either honor. During our league championship season, Josh led the team in both goals (17) and assists (10).
Maximus Bahou was one of 80 offensive linemen invited to the Inaugural Polynesian Bowl Combine and Showcase in Las Vegas on April 7 & 8. He held his own against some of the biggest football players from 24 states. Maximus also received an invitation to play in the NUC All-American Game in Daytona Beach, Florida this December.
Crean Lutheran celebrated two student-athletes who signed their letter of intent to play football in college. Ryan O'Keefe signed to play for Wheaton College, and Dane Schumacher signed for Bethel University.
Junior Melia Masumoto was accepted to be part of the summer dance intensive for the New York City Rockettes! She will also be attending the Bolshoi Ballet intensive.
April 18 was a historic day for CLHS Track and Field. Saints Tyler Johnson, Jackson Bishop, Robert Morris, Jack Johnson, Christian Maurier, and Megan Horn played a part in breaking six school records in their respective events.
The inaugural Boys Lacrosse team is having a great first season. On April 16 they had an amazing win over Santa Margarita Catholic High School. Other first season achievements include wins over Servite, Canyon, Laguna Beach, Portola, Beckman, and San Juan Hills High School.
