FREE Scoutbook Subscriptions
Council-wide - Christmas in June!
We Are Excited to Announce That We're Providing FREE Scoutbook Subscriptions

to EVERY unit, Council-wide, effective today, June 1st, 2018! We hope you'll be excited about this valuable Scouting tool as well.

How will this work? Units will need to contact Amanda Greeno at the Council Service Center at 919-734-1714 for their unique access code.

For units currently using Scoutbook, once you log in with your code, any current subscription you have will be automatically extended.

Units which are not currently using Scoutbook will need to sign up for an account at scoutbook.com using the code provided.

Value Received: Scoutbook is a web application designed for mobile devices. Scoutbook delivers a suite of easy-to-use web-based tools that are helpful to Scouts, parents and unit leaders. It enables units to better communicate, update records, track advancement and manage activities.

By using Scoutbook, your advancement records will be uploaded to the BSA National database. Once your unit has completed the following steps, the sync process will be activated:

* Unit Setup: Once you set up your unit subscription, you will need at least 3 active Unit Administrators. Your unit must be properly matched with a current BSA unit roster.

.
* Key 3: Setup must be performed by a currently registered unit Key 3 member that is a Unit Leader (i.e., Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, Venturing Advisor, or Skipper), Committee Chair, or Chartered Organization Representative for the unit being synced.

.

* Verify Yourself: Scoutbook will ask for your login credentials for my.scouting.org to verify your identity.

.
* Verify Scout Roster: Make sure all Scouts on your Scoutbook roster match those found on your official BSA unit roster. The BSA Member # must match.
.
Frequently Asked Questions

Which Scouting programs does Scoutbook support?

Scoutbook currently is designed for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing units.

Who can register as a Scoutbook user?

Although any adult leader or Scout can register, Scoutbook is designed specifically for registered unit leaders, registered Scouts, and parents or guardians of registered Scouts.

How do I subscribe?

Visit Scoutbook.com to register.

Is training available?

Yes. Training resources are available once you are logged in at Scoutbook.com.

Who can see my information?

Scoutbook is a secure platform that provides a safe way for parents, Scouts, and leaders to record, track, and manage their Scouting experience. Personally identifiable information will be kept secure. Unit leaders can see Scout advancement information as well as adult leader training data.

Can I port my third-party unit-management vendor data to Scoutbook?

There will be no need to port data from other third-party vendors because Scoutbook will link to all unit membership data.

Can I still use other third-party unit-management vendors once Scoutbook launches?

Although Scoutbook will be made available to all units, they may continue to choose other third-party applications. However, Scoutbook is the only unit-management system fully integrated with the BSA database.
