Musings on a beautiful fall day in Livonia
Apologies are due. For coming out on Wednesday. Promise to not let it happen again. But I'm telling you, as I am apt to do, there is so much going on in Livonia that deserves our support. From schools to neighbors to our own backyards. I didn't want to wait to encourage you to come out for the Seedlings and Symphony dinners. See you there I hope. I know I will. I think. I.m sure. I need Thursday and Friday to go out and collect more pop bottles so I can continue with all there is to do in our hometown.
I am amazed at the theatre excellence that will be showcased in November. Five plays being showcased in Livonia. In one month. Move over Fisher Theatre. Livonia doesn't take a backseat to anyone.
The ONLY campaign literature I have received is from Patrick Colbeck and Dian Slavens. Nothing for State Representative, Congress, County Commissioner, Schoolcraft College or school board. Oh sure, one request for money from a Schoolcraft candidate, a joint one from two running for school board and one for a candidate running for Congress. It's all social media.

Pictures of the week
A slice of life
I love facebook if ONLY for the slice of life it provides. Certainly not for the rants and mantra shouting.
Here is Cynthia Windecker taking the first dance with son Alex at his wedding to Rebecca.
Cynthia is a proud mom as well as a proud member of the Livonia Civic Chorus.
Here is Bill Bresler with grandson Hank. Bill is the photographer for
the Livonia Observer and an
inductee with the Class of 2013, Livonia City Hall of Fame.

Movie of the Year
Birdman with Michael Keaton
A movie actor played by Michael Keaton tries to rewrite or perhaps define his legacy by producing, writing, directing and starring in a broadway play.
Call it a drama, a comedy, whatever, but understand that it is a mocking look at the comic book genre that seems to envelope movies today with actors who fly from scene to scene with spectacular stunts leaving those of us who enjoy character development disappointed.
Best actor to Keaton in 2015. About time. |

Please consider joining them on December 6th from 10:00--4:00 for a fun day filled with new holiday ideas to start the Christmas Season. Celebrate the Christmas season by celebrating your hometown.

Celebrate comfort in Livonia
Coming December 24
The best movie seats in Michigan coming to Livonia's Phoenix Theatre this Christmas.
The typewriter is counting down the days until the new cushioned recliners are ready for my use.
If you haven't already made the Phoenix your go-to theatre for movie entertainment make sure you do by December 24.
Livonia has the best to offer in showcasing the arts.
The typewriter loves to read, listens to music, visualizes a play and becomes totally immersed in a movie.
As Aristotle said "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."
