Mana Nutrition Board member and co-founder and Walmart CFO Brett Biggs has been in Uganda for the last few days with World Vision USA USA at Bidibidi refugee camp near Arua. He posted these pics. Mana is the proud supplier of RUTF to World Vision's Nutritional Centre of Expertise in Toronto (World Vision Canada) with whom we partner with Food For Famine Society. This year alone we will provide 1,755,000 packets of RUTF to World Vision! Since our partnership with World Vision Canada started we have supplied 7,290,000 packets to them! That's 57 shipping containers or $2.2 million dollars worth...most importantly enough to feed 51,300 kids! In addition we partner with World Vision USA via Good Spread to send even more packets to children in need! Thanks to Brett and thanks to World Vision for being such a great partner.

SCAMS REGARDING JURY DUTY!!! The Ben Hill County Sheriff's Office has received information about a recent scam regarding jury duty. The Sheriff's Office will no
t contact you via telephone about any money owed to us or the Court. The information we have received this week is of someone calling our citizens telling them they owe a fine for not responding for jury duty. We Do Not call you about money. We have spoken with the Superior Court Clerk and that Office will not call you about any fine. If you miss Jury Duty for Court you will get a personal visit by our Deputies asking about your absence. Then it is between you and the Judge. Please do not give any of your information to anyone calling claiming to be associated with our Office asking for payment for a fine. Thanks for calling and letting us know there was a problem or concern. As always if you are suspicious about a call, particularly one asking for money , hang up. Then call our Office and report it. Feel free to share this post and thanks.

The Great Day of Service is held the first Saturday in May. It is a partnership between the City, schools, and faith community to instill the value of citizen service in our young people. Typically 300 or so students fan out across town with adult team leaders and mentors to perform needed projects in the community.

FAT DADDY'S BUFFET ADDING TWO EXTRA DAYS STARTING THURSDAY, APRIL 26
They will begin serving their Fat Daddy's Lunch Buffets on Thursdays and Fridays beginning on Thursday, April 26. Lunch Buffets will now be served SIX DAYS A WEEK, SUNDAYS THRU FRIDAYS, from 11 am until 2 pm! Many customers have asked them to serve lunch on Thursdays and Fridays, and they are now ready to add these two days with the same Southern-style comfort food favorites they are famous for serving South Georgia!
They will still be open for their Wood Fired Grill Dinners on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 pm until 9 pm. Their steaks, ribs, pork chops, chicken and shrimp make your Thursday and Friday evening dinners delicious and very relaxing.
