MA Legislature Back In Session
“the Second Amendment is a privilege, not a right”

-MA State Representative Marjorie Decker

With the holiday season coming to a close, the MA Legislature will be back in session at the State House beginning this week..

As a reminder, GOAL is monitoring progress on many bills, including Senator Stone-Creem's one gun a month bill - S.2063, and many other pieces of anti Second Amendment legislation.

We will also continue to advocate for GOAL legislation, including H.1296 – An Act Relative To Constitutional Rights, filed by Representative James Miceli. S.1316 – An Act relative to the sale of firearms, filed by Senator Anne Gobi (removes the “copies and duplicates” language from Section 121 of chapter 140, thus removing the power of A.G.) S.1326 – An Act Clarifying Firearms Oversight, filed by Senator Don Humason (removes regulatory authority from the attorney general via consumer protection laws), and many others.

Please see our Legislation page for a full rundown and be sure to book mark our news and alerts page. As always GOAL will notify our members if and when it is time to take action.
Suppressors OK For Hunting In 80% Of USA

Thanks to the  NRA , the  American Suppressor Association  (ASA) and politically active folks like you, suppressors—also called silencers—can now be used in 40 states for hunting. That’s terrific news, because suppressors mitigate a rifle’s report to decibel thresholds deemed safe by  OSHA . Therefore, hunters who use them will ensure that they’ll be able to hear, “Did I get him, Grandpa!?” years down the road. Plus, they’ll have happier neighbors. As a bonus, a quality suppressor often enhances accuracy and lessens recoil. Here are five suppressors fit for several hunting scenarios.
