Often times they ask "why should I join GOAL?"  The answer is simple: "our answering of your phone call and question is made possible by GOAL members".
We are more than just a resource though, we continually work to protect & restore Second Amendment freedom, we support many education efforts including our full training schedule and we proudly represent the interests of all law abiding gun owners.

The Lucky 20 Raffle Is Back!

Cost: $10 per ticket, 3 for $20, 10 for $50, 25 for $100. There is no limit to the amount of tickets you may purchase. Drawing will be held at noon on December 29, 2017. Winning tickets will be put back in the barrel for a chance to be drawn again. 

Odds of winning are based on the number of entries. You need not be present to win. All federal and state gun laws apply. All guns are to be claimed within 60 days in Northboro, MA. Firearms may be shipped to another FFL at winner's expense. Please note that we can not mail ticket stubs via USPS, as it is a violation of postal regulations.

Hunting Bills To Be Heard Monday - Please Attend Public Hearing!

GOAL has confirmed that the Joint Committee on the Environment & Natural Resources has scheduled an important public hearing at the headquarters of the MA Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, on Monday, September 18, 2017, beginning at 11:00 AM.

If you would like to see any of these bills become law, it is critically important for you to provide your in person support at this hearing.

S.437 Outdoor Heritage Act Summary

ATV Firearm Transportation  

(Section 1) MGL C 90B, S 26 – The current ATV laws under Chapter 90B require that any gun be unloaded and enclosed in a case. Because this law does not appear in the hunting laws in Chapter 131 or the firearm laws in Chapters 140/269 many hunters and gun owners who utilize recreational vehicles are not aware of the restrictive requirements. There is also no exemption for lawful citizens who ride these vehicles and carry firearms for self-defense reasons.

State Senate Primary This Tuesday!

The Bristol & Norfolk District State Senate Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

We are asking voters in that district to support GOAL 100% rated Jacob Ventura. Please be sure to cast your vote on Tuesday if you live in the Bristol & Norfolk district. Jacob is the only candidate that is pro 2A and the only candidate that can beat Bernie Sanders backed Paul Feeney in the general election.

The Bristol & Norfolk District includes : Attleboro, ward 3, precinct B, ward 4, precincts A and B, ward 5, precincts A and B, ward 6, precincts A and B, and the towns of Mansfield, Norton, Rehoboth and Seekonk in the county of Bristol; and the towns of Foxborough, Medfield, Sharon, precincts 1, 4 and 5, and Walpole in the county of Norfolk.

Sippican Women On Target!
Thank you to Sippican Rod & Gun Club and all of the volunteers who made this past weekend's Women On Target a great success! We had an excellent time introducing a great group to the safe use of firearms!

Progressive Carbine Training 9/22/17 at Shawme Fish & Game - Still A Few Seats Open

Progressive Carbine Training is one day course for those who have the basic fundamentals yet wish to improve their tactical skills. This is a hands-on, fast paced, live fire course with minimal time spent in the classroom. Starting with the combat mindset, the training covers specialized topics such as shooting positions, shooting while moving, malfunction remediation, barricade drills, strong and support side shooting, proper sling use and reloading techniques.

Blue Hills Controlled Deer Hunt Application Deadline September 22

The Department of Conservation and Recreation is accepting hunter applications for the 2017 Blue Hills Deer controlled deer hunt until September 22, 2017. This year, there will be 11 days of permitted archery hunting in designated areas of the Reservation in November and 4 days of controlled shotgun hunting in late November/early December. Also new this year, applicants for shotgun hunting may apply either as an individual or in a pair.  Licensed hunters wishing to participate must submit an application by September 22 , be selected through a random lottery and attend mandatory hunter orientation. For more details and applications, visit the  Blue Hills Reservation Deer Management Program  web page.

  • New England CMP Games - The New England CMP Games will return to Vermont – bringing a rousing round of rifle and pistol events to the Northeastern United States. The matches, conducted by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) and hosted by the Vermont State Rifle and Pistol Association and the Burlington Rifle and Pistol Club, are scheduled to fire on the ranges of Camp Ethan Allen Training Site Sept. 20-24, 2017.   • Petersham Gun Club - Women's Trap Shooting Night with the NWTF, join in for a night of fun & instruction - this event is open to female shooters of all abilities limited to 25 participants & you must pre-register. September 29, 2017, 6PM - 9PM $25.00 includes ammo, targets, use of firearms & refreshments. Click here for more info.
  • Franklin County Sportsmen Club – Weekly 5 Stand beginning 7/15/17 and running every other Saturday 10 am - 2 pm into the fall. The cost is $5 per round. Information can be found on our web site
  • Petersham gun club sporting clays course is open EVERY WEDNESDAY all year at 12 noon, and EVERY SUNDAY starting at 10am. we also have Trap open every friday at 6:30 PM.
  • Southborough Rod and Gun . Trap and Skeet shooting every Sunday, 12-3, and Thursday nights (May-September) from 6-9. New shooters welcome! SRGC is a Green club, and only non-toxic shot is permitted. More info on the Club's website. See you at the Top of the Hill, and bring a friend!
  • Fitchburg Sportsmen's Club - is holding an Open House and Pig Roast on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the club, 289 Rindge State Road (Route 119) in Ashburnham, MA. Events for the public will consist of a Beginner's Trap Shooting Clinic beginning at 9:00 AM, with a Championship Trap Shoot for the Members. A .22 Poker Shoot will be held along with various .22's and Percussion and Flintlock firearms. Ear and eye protection will be furnished to participants. Tickets for the Pig Roast are $10.00 ea. and are available online or at the Club. Tickets are limited, so buy early to avoid disappointment. A live Blues Band will provide entertainment.
