Suppressors: Setting The Record Straight.
Last week the Globe ran yet another hit piece on our efforts to legalize firearms suppressors in MA.
This time they featured "info" from Walpole's chief of police who made many false claims, including that they can't be used on shotguns, and that criminals will use them. For the record, suppressors are legal in FORTY TWO states with no issue-criminal use.
Also, shotguns can be suppressed (see photo).

Armed citizen stops violent criminal in grocery store parking lot, without firing a shot.
3 Stabbed Before Man With Gun Stops Robber: Deputies
An accused armed robber who allegedly stabbed three people on Sunday was ultimately stopped by a man with a gun without a single shot fired.
SEMINOLE, FL — Two good Samaritans suffered stab wounds on Sunday when they tried to come to a woman’s aid in a Publix parking lot in Seminole. That’s when Pinellas County deputies say a third good Samaritan with a gun stepped in and put an end to the struggle without firing a shot.

- Holbrook Sportsmen's Club 150 Quincy St Holbrook Mass - STEEL CHALLENGE SHOOT Saturday August 26 2017 , sign up at 11:00 shooting starts at 12:30 - click here to sign up
- Nenameseck Sportsmen' Club is having a open house on 8/26/2017 rain date 8/27/2017 Tickets are $10.00 on sale now till 8/20/2017 at door $12.00 limited number available contact Lisa Desabrais at 413-245-3568 The ticket price includes a hot dog, hamburg, chips, salad and soda. There will also be archery and shoot activity's for a 2.00 fee.
- Franklin County Sportsmen Club – Weekly 5 Stand beginning 7/15/17 and running every other Saturday 10 am - 2 pm into the fall. The cost is $5 per round. Information can be found on our web site www.Fclsc.org
- Petersham gun club sporting clays course is open EVERY WEDNESDAY all year at 12 noon, and EVERY SUNDAY starting at 10am. we also have Trap open every friday at 6:30 PM.
- Southborough Rod and Gun Club, wwwsouthboroughrodandgun.com . Trap and Skeet shooting every Sunday, 12-3, and Thursday nights (May-September) from 6-9. New shooters welcome! SRGC is a Green club, and only non-toxic shot is permitted. More info on the Club's website. See you at the Top of the Hill, and bring a friend!

- Wrentham Sportsman's Club - shoot schedule - all begin at 1:00 PM - $20 entry fee. 8/13 - Military Rifle Bench Rest.
- Lowell Sportsmen's Club - Steel Sundays (rimfire challenge practice) every 3rd Sunday 1-3pm; Ongoing Events open to the public: Trap and Skeet every Sunday at 1pm and Wednesday at 10am; all-ages Archery every Thursday night at 6:30pm; Indoor Range Fun Shoot every Friday at 7pm. - High Power Rifle Shooting, at Reading Rifle and Revolver - the ONLY 600 yard range in Massachusetts has a full schedule for both "Across the Course" NRA and CMP matches as well as NRA "Mid-Range Prone" matches, for the 2017 season.
