Are You A GOAL Member?

It's not unusual for us to receive phone calls from MA gun owners who are looking for guidance and are not members of GOAL.

Often times they ask "why should I join GOAL?"   The answer is simple: "our answering of your phone call and question is made possible by GOAL members".

We are more than just a resource though, we continually work to protect & restore Second Amendment freedom, we support many education efforts including our full training schedule and we proudly represent the interests of all law abiding gun owners.

If you are not a member, please consider joining, you can do so online here: http://goal.org/joingoal.html

Gun Safety Inside the Home

The NRA has taught more than 29 million American youth what to do if they find a unsecured gun through the Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program

Americans are purchasing firearms at a historic rate, with more than 27 million NICS background checks performed in 2016, the closest indicator of gun sales in the U.S. Gun ownership is a great responsibility, entailing not only a well-formed understanding of the basic rules of gun safety while shooting, but at all times. Gun safety is never more important than inside your own home.

Even if you don’t own a firearm and have no plans to buy one, family members and friends may have guns in their homes that you might visit. Despite plans to never use a gun, it’s always a good idea to learn what to do if you encounter a firearm in order to stay safe.

For gun reciprocity bill foes, desperate times call for desperate lies

"Nationwide concealed carry doesn’t make it any easier to buy a gun. This bill has nothing to do with the purchase of a gun"

When I introduced the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38) in January, I knew it would face criticism from the left. I figured I’d run into the occasional lie about nationwide concealed carry reciprocity and have intense opposition rise from liberal groups trying to restrict our Second Amendment right. But I never imagined something like this: on Sunday, New York County District Attorney Cy Vance made the absurd statement, “this bill is supported, I’m sure, by ISIS.” This type of language is especially alarming and irresponsible after Republican members of Congress were recently hunted down and shot by a liberal activist who was incited by violent leftist language.

New Study Compiles Worst Flaws of Anti-Gun Research

"A firearm becomes a danger to society when misused by a criminal, not when legally sold by a federally regulated retailer or legally purchased by a citizen exercising their constitutional right. "

And the winner of the most absurd anti-gun study goes to: “Broadening the Perspective on Gun Violence: An Examination of the Firearms Industry, 1990–2015.”

This report starts with the ridiculous premise that the criminal misuse of firearms is a public health issue, rather than a criminal justice issue. As we have explained here before, firearms are not a disease. Americans enjoy a Second Amendment right to bear arms for self-defense. In addition, there are legal, healthy, legitimate ways to use a firearm that tens of millions of law-abiding Americans enjoy every day.
