Are You A GOAL Member?

It's not unusual for us to receive phone calls from MA gun owners who are looking for guidance and are not members of GOAL.

Often times they ask "why should I join GOAL?"   The answer is simple: "our answering of your phone call and question is made possible by GOAL members".

We are more than just a resource though, we continually work to protect & restore Second Amendment freedom, we support many education efforts including our full training schedule and we proudly represent the interests of all law abiding gun owners.

If you are not a member, please consider joining, you can do so online here: http://goal.org/joingoal.html

Legislation In The News

Legislation would allow guns to be seized when risk of suicide, other danger is shown - Wallace said the bill “does not tackle the issue of mental health” and raised questions about whether a person deemed an extreme risk should be permitted to do other things like drive a vehicle or handle chemicals.

Massachusetts lawmakers push extreme risk protective order billThe proposal, H.3081, would allow family members, police, health care providers or prosecutors to request a judge issue an “extreme risk protective order” against individuals experiencing a crisis that may put themselves or others at risk. The measure would result in suspension of gun rights for up to a year.

Advocates call for lifting Mass. stun gun prohibition"These are over-the-counter products in the bulk of the country," Wallace said. According to information provided by GOAL, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire make electronic weapons available for over-the-counter purchase with New Hampshire restricting sales to people 18 and older.

When Should the Government Be Able To Take Your Guns Away?BOSTON — An array of gun bills drew a crowd of citizen activists to the State House on Tuesday, with a pair of bills aimed at ending the citizen ban on firearm suppressors and temporarily taking guns out of the possession of at-risk persons drawing the most passionate testimony.
