GOAL Files FOIA Request With AG Healey

GUN OWNERS’ ACTION LEAGUE (GOAL) FILES FOIA REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS RELATED TO ATTORNEY GENERAL HEALEY’S NEW INTERPRETATION OF MASSACHUSETTS GUN LAWS

Northborough, Massachusetts – September 2, 2016 – GOAL seeks all public records pertaining to Healey’s politically motivated attack on law abiding gun owners.

This morning the Gun Owners’ Action League (GOAL) of Massachusetts announced that they have filed a FOIA request for all public records pertaining to Attorney General Maura Healey’s controversial new interpretation of Massachusetts gun laws she announced announced on July 20, 2016.

Glock & Remington File Suit

BOSTON — Attorney General Maura Healey may have shown herself to be a worthy foe to the firearms industry, but gun manufacturers have shown they are game when it comes to taking to the courts to fight back.

Remington Arms, the North Carolina-based gun giant, is the latest company to take on Healey. Earlier this week Remington filed a civil suit in Suffolk County Superior Court against Healey, alleging her office is conducting a “fishing expedition” under the guise of consumer gun safety, according to a Boston Business Journal report.

With Attorney General Healey in power your vote as a resident of Massachusetts no longer matters.

We are still hearing from people who don’t grasp what AG Healey did and why it is so egregious. It can be easily explained using cars.

Let’s use sports cars

Let’s say that the federal government defined any sports car with a V8, mag wheels and ground effects “assault cars” and made them illegal to own or possess.

Now, let’s say that the state of MA adopted the same law.

For 20 years nobody could own a sports car configured this way. You could have them with a V6 and regular wheels, but the V8, etc. would get you arrested.

Rolling Protest Spans 1.5 Miles on Rt. 95

GUN OWNERS’ ACTION LEAGUE (GOAL) HOLDS ROLLING PROTEST IN RESPONSE TO ABUSE FROM ATTORNEY GENERAL HEALEY.

Northborough, Massachusetts – August 28, 2016 – GOAL’s “Roll With GOAL – Due PROCESSion” Rolling Rally spanned over 1.5 miles in length on Rt. 95 this morning.

The rolling protest was in response to abusive actions from Attorney General Maura Healey.

This morning the Gun Owners’ Action League (GOAL) of Massachusetts held a rolling protest to publicize abusive actions by Attorney General Maura Healey. The protest started in Billerica and followed south, down Rt. 95 to Rt. 24, ending in Hanson and featured over one hundred vehicles decorated with personal messages of protest and many American flags.

  • Riverside Gun Club Open House - Hudson Sesquicentennial Celebration  - Riverside Gun Club is celebrating the Hudson 150 anniversary with an open house September 10th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm located at 16 Wilkins St., Hudson, MA.  The concession booth is open through out the day for food & soft drinks.  There is a live Falcon exhibit, Children activities & games, and a 150-year history of the American Battle Rifle presentation.  All shooting events are open to the public include, Skeet & Trap, Junior Rifle competition, ages 10 -18 include prizes to top shooters and the WWII M1 Garand rifle all with all events supervised by certified instructors.  Visit the Riverside Archery to observe the team training session and experience instructional shooting as well.   • Leominster Sportsmen's Club: Annual Freedom Shoot on 9/11: "Rattle-Battle" Rifle & Pistol Plate matches Sunday September 11th starting 9am, cost $10.
