Important Update Regarding the BFS Approved Course Roster and the NRA Training Department

GOAL has received many inquiries regarding the NRA’s new pistol course and the Massachusetts State Police (MSP) Approved Basic Firearm Safety (BFS) course roster. The GOAL staff has been in communication with Lt. Al Zani of the MSP and various staff at the NRA Training Department. The NRA released their new Basics of Pistol Shooting course this past spring. This course is vastly different from the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course that was approved by the Colonel of the Massachusetts State Police as LTC-002 in 1998.

The Gun Owners Action League opposes the bill, saying that it “would do away with due process for MA citizens who appear on one or more of the federal watch lists … Legislation of this nature goes directly against the Constitution and must be stopped.”

Ryan tells members package would prevent suspected terrorists from buying guns

The House will vote on a counterterrorism package that will include a provision to prevent suspected terrorists from buying guns, Speaker Paul D. Ryan told Republicans on a conference call Thursday, according to a source on the call.

Especially interesting that the author fails to note that the congressional members who took part in ‪#‎NoBillNoBreak‬ cannot speak of the urban crime in the areas they represent, (mentioned in the article) for if they did, they would have to recognize their many failures, including the failure of their beloved gun control laws.

Report: Non-military federal agencies spend $1.48 billion on guns and ammo since 2006

There are now more non-military government employees who carry guns than there are U.S. Marines, according to a new report.

Open the Books, a taxpayer watchdog group, released a study Wednesday that finds domestic government agencies continue to grow their stockpiles of military-style weapons, as Democrats sat on the House floor calling for more restrictions on what guns American citizens can buy.
