We are more than just a resource though, we continually work to protect & restore Second Amendment freedom, we support many education efforts including our full training schedule and we proudly represent the interests of all law abiding gun owners.

The Second Amendment Under Attack!
Please check your town meeting warrant for anti Second Amendment articles.  Early detection is the key to stopping these attacks.  If you find anything, please email [email protected]

GOAL has learned that the Ipswich board of selectmen will be reviewing the town meeting warrant articles, including Article 20, on Monday night, May 2nd,  starting at 8:00 PM.  Here is the agenda.  If you are an Ipswich resident please attend and speak out against this needless anti-freedom article.  Plan on getting there by 7:15 PM at the latest!

Original alert: GOAL has learned that there is a hunting/discharge ban on the town warrant for the May 10th Annual Town Meeting.  The proponent of the article wants to ban the safe and lawful discharge of firearms on private property. See Article 27 on page 38. (note it's mistakenly marked as Article 25)

Town Meeting is May 10, if you are an Ipswich resident please attend and vote NO.

Help us stop the town by town attacks, we need your testimony!

If your local city/town is requiring anything extra of you to apply for a state firearm license, please attend this meeting and provide information to Rep. Vieira.  Along with your verbal testimony, it would be very helpful if you could bring documentation of the added requirements. This could be in the form of printouts from municipal websites, additional application forms from your city/town, etc.

A few updates on the alert regarding the three articles to be voted on at town meeting on May 10th.

Here is the GOAL Alert:

GOAL has learned that Longmeadow Massachusetts will be voting at town meeting on May 10th and could vote in some drastic anti-Second Amendment measures.

Please see the text of Article’s 26, 27, 28 from the 2016 town meeting warrant (see below).  This was sent to us by a member.  These articles are an outright assault on your Second Amendment rights.  Article 26 would ban lawful carry of firearms on all town property including sidewalks.  Article 27 would require gun registration upon renewal of license.  Article 28 would ban many commonly owned firearms and magazines

Please know that the warrant is yet to be finalized.

W. Boylston Update - Good News!

Good News!  GOAL has learned that the W. Boylston ZBA voted 4 to 1 on 4/21/16 to deny petition of the Concerned Citizens of West  Boylston to override the decision of the zoning enforcement officer who refused to shut down the Almstrom's range except for commercial use.

The anti Second Amendment Freedom group - CCWB (Concerned Citizens of West Boylston) may appeal next to Superior Court.

As always, we will update as necessary.

New Class - GOAL Exec. Director Jim Wallace teaching!

GOAL Exec. Director Jim Wallace will be teaching a MA Legislative Process class that is free of charge for GOAL members. This class is focused on teaching how the legislative process works in MA. The class will explain the difference between laws and regulations and then take you through the bill making process.

The class is scheduled for May 23, 2016 and runs from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at GOAL in Northborough. Space is limited so sign up today by contacting Jim. You must be a GOAL member in good standing to take this class.

  • Cowboy Up!  The Harvard Ghost Riders, the cowboy action group from the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club are giving a cowboy action demonstration tomorrow, Saturday, April 30, at the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club in Harvard Massachusetts. The demonstration is from 11 AM to 1 PM at the cowboy action pits. The Harvard Ghost Riders will provide firearms, ammunition and instruction. For all those who wondered what cowboy action shooting was all about, this is a good way to find out. The only requirement is that you know how to safely handle firearms. We will be using single action revolvers, lever action rifles and shotguns. The Harvard Sportsmen's Club it Is located at 250 Littleton County Road in Harvard. The cowboy action pits are the first left off the entrance road and then a right at the intersection.   • Support the Maspenock Junior Rifle Team! Friday, May 6, 2016 Maspenock Rod and Gun Club Junior Rifle Team is holding a fundraising roast beef dinner and raffle at the club McGill Lane, Milford, Ma at 6:30 pm. $20.00 per adult, $10 children 5-10 and under 5 free! Food provided by Jeans Catering of Milford and the club bar will be open.   • Worcester Pistol & Rifle Club - 100th Anniversary Celebration!
