It's not unusual for us to receive phone calls from MA gun owners who are looking for guidance and are not members of GOAL.

Often times they ask "why should I join GOAL?"   The answer is simple: "our answering of your phone call and question is made possible by GOAL members".

We are more than just a resource though, we continually work to protect & restore Second Amendment freedom, we support many education efforts including our full training schedule and we proudly represent the interests of all law abiding gun owners.

Annual Meeting of the Membership - GOAL Members Only

Please Join Us - Saturday February 4, 2017 – 9:00 AM at Marlborough Holiday Inn!

January 6, 2017

On July 20, 2016, Attorney General Maura Healey launched an unprecedented and unchecked attack on our civil rights.  There was no public hearing, the legislature never debated it and the courts never vetted it.

Additionally our civil rights were attacked at the local level; Lexington, Natick, Harwich and many other towns had articles filed to their town warrant.  These were a well-organized and sneaky attempt to suppress individual freedom in a way that few people would pay attention to, or so they hoped.

Make no mistake, we are in for the fight of our lives and we are counting on you to help us restore and protect our Second Amendment civil rights!

2017 will bring many challenges, the defense of our civil rights will take place in many arenas, be it a courthouse, town hall, or Beacon Hill, GOAL will be there and we will count on your generous support to enhance and enable our efforts.

This begins on February 4th at our Annual Meeting.  Open to all GOAL members in good standing, join us to find out more information about the year that was, and our vision for 2017.  As always we will have a buffet breakfast followed by the meeting information and presentations.

Please encourage every member that you know to attend, if you know someone who cares about our Second Amendment who is not a member, please encourage them to join GOAL and attend.

It begins here, are you in?

(Not sure if you are a GOAL member in good standing?  Simply choose the "Join GOAL" link and we will update your info if you are already a member.)
AG Healey is still lawlessly hiding records from GOAL's FOIA request, making a false claim that public records that her office used, can no longer be public, because her office used them.  Shameful behavior from the "peoples lawyer".
GOAL Appeals Healey - FOIA Response

Mass. gun owners appeal for more information about Attorney General Maura Healey and her 'copycat' weapons crackdown

The Gun Owners Action League, a local affiliate of the National Rifle Association, is seeking more information from Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey after her crackdown on copycat weapons.

The group (GOAL) has argued Healey overreached when applying the crackdown, which came through an enforcement notice to gun sellers and manufacturers. Healey's office has said owners of copycat weapons before the notice was issued in July are grandfathered.

Looking for information that could shed more light on her decision, GOAL filed an extensive public records request in August, and months later received a CD that included gun manuals from different manufacturers. Healey's office cited several legal exemptions in limiting the response, including ongoing litigation.

Jim Wallace, the head of GOAL, said his group is continuing to press for more information and plans to file an appeal with Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin this week. Galvin's office includes a public records division.

Massachusetts AG Busy Defending Her Unconstitutional “Enforcement Notice” on “Copycat” Assault Weapons

Even though Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey (shown at podium) knew that her unilateral expansion of an 18-year-old law to ban anything that looked like an “assault weapon” was likely to be challenged, she went ahead with it anyway. On July 20 of last year, she imperiously announced her “enforcement notice” to every gun maker and dealer in the state:

Here in Massachusetts, 10,000 assault weapons [i.e., semi-automatic rifles that often look like fully-automatic military firearms] were sold just in the last year.... In the week after the Pulse [LGBT] nightclub massacre, sales of [such] weapons jumped as high as 450 percent over the previous week — just in Massachusetts....

They are weapons used to commit mass murder. And they have no business being in civilian hands....

That will end now.

She expected pushback for her illegal actions: "We anticipate our directive may be … challenged … but our job is to enforce state laws and to keep people safe."
