NH Passes Freedom To Carry

N.H. eliminates concealed carry license requirement

It’s now legal to carry a concealed, loaded gun in New Hampshire without a license.

In his first bill signing since taking office, Republican Gov. Chris Sununu signed so-called constitutional carry into law Wednesday.

“It is common-sense legislation,” he said during a ceremony in Executive Council chambers. “This is about making sure that our laws on our books are keeping people safe while remaining true to the live-free-or-die spirit.”

Concealed carry could go beyond borders

Reciprocity push could force Bay State’s hand

Gun Owners’ Action League Executive Director Jim Wallace said New Hampshire becoming the next “Constitutional Carry” state shows exactly how much Massachusetts is lacking on gun rights.

“It shows the rest of the nation is going in a direction that Massachusetts simply won’t go,” Wallace told the Herald. “As the rest of the country starts to move forward, I think eventually Massachusetts, like the rest of the country, will have to see the light.”

In reference to previous post. Here's a map showing states that recognize freedom to carry - i.e. no license requirement to carry a concealed handgun. Note there are quite a few states that will take this up in 2017. Also note, any person who is federally prohibited cannot legally carry in these states, should they choose to do so they are committing a felony.
UMass - 4H Program Update

Update on the youth shooting sports – gun safety – outdoors program.

We are pleased to announce that the youth program is moving forward as a joint venture between the MA Division of Fisheries and Wildlife and GOAL.

“It is apparent that the social bias from UMass against gun owners and their families will not subside and is clouding their judgment.” Said GOAL Executive Director Jim Wallace, “instead we are moving forward with a joint venture with the Division”

GOAL would like to note that we are continuing to work with the legislature towards moving this important program forward. Also of note, GOAL will be discussing other possibilities for youth development with state officials. We would like to thank Jack Buckley and the Division for taking up the baton and recognizing all of the benefits this will bring to our youth.

GOAL would also like to thank Mandy Deveno, our membership, and all of the people who have taken action to move the youth program forward. Stay tuned for more to come!

Mass. gun-safety info rates a D-minus

Thanks Art O'Leary for the great op-ed!

Amid much hoopla in the press, our attorney general and the Massachusetts Medical Society have just put forth new "informational brochures" on gun safety. Being a longtime firearms safety instructor, and always interested in acquiring new instructional aids to get the message across, I went to their website to check them out.

There's a basic problem with these much-heralded publications - they omit any mention of the three "Always" rules of gun safety:
