GOAL Action Alert – State House Lobby Day

This coming weekend, the legislature will be holding more weekend sessions that will spell the end of the formal legislative session on July 31st. It will essentially be the last opportunity for the legislature to enact emergency legislation to reign in the rogue actions of the Massachusetts Attorney General.

GOAL is asking gun owners and citizens to join us at the state house again this Saturday, July 30, 2016 from Noon to 2:00 pm. There will not be an outside rally. This time we are asking people to spend their time in direct communications with legislators inside the State House.

We have been awaiting legislation from Senator Tarr which addresses, and ends abusive actions from A.G. Healey - and it was just released!

We need EVERYONE to call your legislators and urge them to support this bill - for now refer to it as "Senator Tarr's Act to Protect Due Process".

Healey Hurting Families

She has launched a campaign of confusion, fear, and intimidation against families and family businesses!

On Wednesday, July 20, 2016, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey took action in a clear attempt to circumvent constitutional legislative authority that has placed hundreds of thousands of families and family businesses at risk!!

Massachusetts Families are looking to the legislature to reign in this clear abuse of power!

On that day, hundreds of thousands of lawful Massachusetts families and family business owners woke up to the news that they were now being declared felons in waiting. Without warning, AG Healey announced through a press conference that she was putting forth brand new interpretations of Massachusetts’ gun laws. This new directive has completely reclassified the term “assault weapon” to now potentially include every semi-automatic gun sold since 1998.

She attempted to cover her actions by telling the media that there was nothing new about what she was demanding, that it was simply old law that is now being enforced. That simply is not true.

Since the 1994 federal gun legislation, the subsequent 1998 state legislation, the 2004 state legislation that permanently attached the federal language to state law, and the 2014 state legislation, no government official (federal or state) has ever defined the gun laws the way she is trying to now.

For over two decades everyone has been living under the same rules. All federal and state agencies working with family businesses and industry understood the rules and standards. In the Commonwealth, every single gun transaction, transfer, sale etc. has been approved through the state’s own reporting system.

This is either a tremendous lie or the greatest entrapment scheme in U.S. history!

The first offense for the laws she is reinterpreting is up to TEN YEARS in prison! She has launched a campaign of confusion, fear, and intimidation against families and family businesses.

Half of the Massachusetts legislature has already signed onto various letters questioning the Attorney General’s actions. The legislature has the authority and obligation to reign in these rogue actions before adjourning its session on July 31, 2016.

Please don’t allow hundreds of thousands of lawful Massachusetts families and family businesses to be persecuted!
