It's not unusual for us to receive phone calls from MA gun owners who are looking for guidance and are not members of GOAL.

Often times they ask "why should I join GOAL?"   The answer is simple: "our answering of your phone call and question is made possible by GOAL members".

We are more than just a resource though, we continually work to protect & restore Second Amendment freedom, we support many education efforts including our full training schedule and we proudly represent the interests of all law abiding gun owners.

GOAL Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting of the Membership - GOAL Members Only

Please Join Us - Saturday February 4, 2017 – 9:00 AM at Marlborough Holiday Inn!

January 20, 2017

Greetings!

On July 20, 2016, Attorney General Maura Healey launched an unprecedented and unchecked attack on our civil rights.  There was no public hearing, the legislature never debated it and the courts never vetted it.

Additionally our civil rights were attacked at the local level; Lexington, Natick, Harwich and many other towns had articles filed to their town warrant.  These were a well-organized and sneaky attempt to suppress individual freedom in a way that few people would pay attention to, or so they hoped.

Make no mistake, we are in for the fight of our lives and we are counting on you to help us restore and protect our Second Amendment civil rights!

2017 will bring many challenges, the defense of our civil rights will take place in many arenas, be it a courthouse, town hall, or Beacon Hill, GOAL will be there and we will count on your generous support to enhance and enable our efforts.

This begins on February 4th at our Annual Meeting.  Open to all GOAL members in good standing, join us to find out more information about the year that was, and our vision for 2017.  As always we will have a buffet breakfast followed by the meeting information and presentations.

Please encourage every member that you know to attend, if you know someone who cares about our Second Amendment who is not a member, please encourage them to join GOAL and attend.

It begins here, are you in?

AG Healey is still lawlessly hiding records from GOAL's FOIA request, making a false claim that public records that her office used, can no longer be public, because her office used them.  Shameful behavior from the "peoples lawyer".
The Supreme Court's Next 'Gun Battle'

It will be late February at the earliest before the justices announce whether they will hear the case

One of Justice Antonin Scalia’s last official acts before his death last February was to join Justice Clarence Thomas in complaining that the Supreme Court risked “relegating the Second Amendment to a second-class right” when it let stand an Illinois city’s ban on owning semiautomatic weapons.

Since then, the court has fallen silent on gun issues, understandably. Justice Scalia was the author of the court’s 2008 decision in District of Columbia v. Heller, which established a constitutional right to keep a handgun at home for self-defense. The vote was 5 to 4, and although the court’s membership has changed since then, with two of the dissenters succeeded by Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, there has been every reason to think that any request to extend Heller would find the court at an impasse.

Linsky At It Again

Rep. David Linsky Files Legislation Intending To Penalize Law Abiding Gun Owners

Representative Linsky wants to allow licensed gun dealers to charge up to $25 to conduct federal background checks on private sales. Fellow Representative Michael Finn of West Springfield is open to the idea. “The gun laws that we have are adequate,” Finn told 22News. “I think we’ve done quite a bit to ensure the safety of the general public when it comes to gun sales, but like with all things, I don’t think you should just close the door on an issue.”
