It's not unusual for us to receive phone calls from MA gun owners who are looking for guidance and are not members of GOAL.

We are more than just a resource though, we continually work to protect & restore Second Amendment freedom, we support many education efforts including our full training schedule and we proudly represent the interests of all law abiding gun owners.

New Podcast Episode

We discuss self defense choice legislation with Jim Wallace.

GOAL has been working on two new bills, which will enable people to choose their best means of self defense and get government out of the way.

We made great strides towards that in 2014 when we deregulated the sale of self defense sprays, and are now working towards doing the same with electronic devices.

These products are available over the counter in the majority of the country and we are working towards getting MA into the light regarding self defense choice.

We will have an action item about this legislation out early next week.

AG Healey Wants Your Feedback!

AG Healey's Next Town Hall Forum - May 22nd in Lowell!  

Attorney General Healey is currently touring the state hosting a series of open to all "town hall" meetings. 

AG Healey has stated that she wants to hear from voters of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and it's time for us to start asking her questions!

Take Action!

Please attend one of AG Healey's upcoming town hall meetings and ask the AG why she refused to comply to GOAL's FOIA request and why she ignored more than eighty legislators who wanted her 7/20 enforcement notice explained.

Notes - despite her claims she never responded to the FOIA or the letter, see below:

  • Her office did not provide a timely response to GOAL's FOIA request (as outlined by MA law), it came only after GOAL sent an official appeal to Secretary of State Galvin's office. Read more on this here
  • None of the requested documents were provided, her office chose to only share brochures supplied by firearms manufacturers with the purchase of a gun. Read more on this here
  • Her office ignored multiple letters from over eighty MA legislators, including this one from Rep. John Fernandes.

GOAL 2017 Training Schedule

Our 2017 training schedule includes new courses and lots of great training to choose from!  Note, we have just added our ICE Training Courses with Rob Pincus!

GOAL's 2017 training schedule is posted online and features new courses including the Intro to Concealed Carry Pistol (mentioned above), our new MA Gun License training course which replaces the basic pistol course of old, and a great class for revolver aficionados, Short Barreled Revolver Skills.

We also have our most popular courses returning, including our NRA Instructors courses (dates TBA), MA Gun Law for Citizens, reloading courses with Jim Finnerty, Utah CCW and lots more, check out the link below to view the schedule and remember, GOAL members always get a great discount on GOAL training courses.

  • Leominster Sportsmen's Club - D-Day "Rattle Battle" Rifle & Pistol Plate matches Sunday June  4th starting 9am, cost $10. Bring your buddies, your favorite rifle, sling, extra clips/mags & 50-100 rounds, and your pistol or revolver & 50 rounds (more if you're a good shot).  10 point bonus for competing with a WWII type rifle!  Proceeds to Firefighter Jimmy Cameron fund.  details will be on: lsa-ma.org
  • Holbrook Sportsmen's Club - STEEL CHALLENGE SHOOT - Sunday May 28 , check in at 8:00am Mandatory Safety briefing at 8:45, and first shots at 9am - 150 Quincy St , Holbrook Mass - preregistration at https://practiscore.commay-steel-challenge-match/register more info at http://www.holbrooksportsmenclub.com/Steel-Challenge
  • Southborough Rod and Gun Club, wwwsouthboroughrodandgun.com . Trap and Skeet shooting every Sunday, 12-3, and Thursday nights (May-September) from 6-9.  New shooters welcome!  SRGC is a Green club, and only non-toxic shot is permitted.   • Fitchburg Sportsmen's Club - Trap Shoots - Wednesday Nights at 6:00 PM beginning on April 19th -  club is located at, 289 Rindge State Rd (Route 119), Ashburnham, MA
  • Fall River Rod & Gun Club has ongoing open to the public events - check their calendar for more info!
  • Norco Sportsman's Club has ongoing open to the public events - check their calendar for more info!
  • Wrentham Sportsman's Club - shoot schedule - all begin at 1:00 PM - $20 entry fee. 5/21 - Military Rifle - slings allowed, 6/4 - Pistol - Black Powder, 6/25 - Pistol - Rim Fire.
  • Lowell Sportsmen's Club - Flea Market & Pork BBQ Sat. May 20, 8-1pm; Ongoing Events open to the public: Trap and Skeet every Sunday at 1pm and Wednesday at 10am; all-ages Archery every Thursday night at 6:30pm; Indoor Range Fun Shoot every Friday at 7pm.  Visit http://www.lowellsc.org for more information.
  • The Haverhill Hound Rod and Gun Club has lots of events, shoots and activities - All Leagues and HHRG club events are open to the public:  Check out our Public Event Calendar
  • Uxbridge Rod & Gun Club - Sunday Morning Trap - 10:00 AM start time, runs year round, join in for a great time!  
  • High Power Rifle Shooting, at Reading Rifle and Revolver - the ONLY 600 yard range in Massachusetts has a full schedule for both "Across the Course" NRA and CMP matches as well as NRA "Mid-Range Prone" matches, for the 2017 season.
