GOAL Seeks FOIA Transparency From AG Healey

August Filed FOIA Request on Enforcement Action Unanswered; AG Fails to Comply with Public Records Law

BOSTON – The Gun Owners Action League of Massachusetts (GOAL) today asked for transparency from MA Attorney General Maura Healey on its freedom of information request on documents related to her July 2016 enforcement action that unilaterally redefined state gun laws. GOAL filed their FOIA request on August 18, 2016, but has not been answered with any records or a denial. Under Massachusetts law, MGL Chapter 66, Section 10, it requires Healey to respond to the FOIA request within ten business days of receipt. It currently stands at three months of non-compliance with GOAL’s request.

Bloomberg Losing Millions

If it wasn't for Michael Bloomberg's billions, there wouldn't be much of a gun-control movement.

This year, Bloomberg got a background check initiative onto the ballots of Maine and Nevada. He lost in Maine by 4 percent, and won in Nevada by just 0.8 percent. Now, Nevadans won't be able to privately transfer their firearms without going through a background check.

New Shooting Facility Needs Support

Ridgeline Shooting Sports LLC is diligently working to bring long-range and action shooting to New England in a way that it has never seen before.

An unrivaled destination shooting center in the heart of New England, the Ridgeline Marksmanship Park will provide the place for New England shooters to learn, train, practice, and compete on ranges designed by Special Operations Snipers. Ridgeline has identified and acquired 242 acres in Winchester NH and only requires a Special Exception from the ZBA to create the long ranges in the Argricultural Zoning District.

You can help us by showing up in support at the ZBA meeting.

The next zoning meeting is December 15th at 7pm at the Winchester Town Hall. We at Ridgeline would appreciate any and all support from the GOAL membership in the form of attendance at the meeting showing your support.

GOAL 2017 Training Schedule

Our 2017 training schedule includes new courses and lots of great training to choose from!

GOAL's 2017 training schedule is posted online and features new courses including the Intro to Concealed Carry Pistol (mentioned above), our new MA Gun License training course which replaces the basic pistol course of old, and a great class for revolver aficionados, Short Barreled Revolver Skills.
