 Notices from the Superintendent

It is hard to imagine that in the 14 weeks since the Parkland, Florida tragedy there have been seven more shootings in schools across our country. We wanted to take this opportunity to reassure the community that the safety and security of our students and staff is our number one priority.  Please click here to read Denville Schools' Safety and Security Update.

Also, we have updated the information on our transportation operations.  Please click here for our transportation document.
We are featuring a different school each week to keep you updated on events and happenings  throughout  the district.  Please check your individual school's Friday Folders for school specific events.

Honoring Veteran's has been a focal point of Lakeview's pride for over twenty years. Each year, the students, staff and community members all work together and present a formal ceremony to not only local veterans, but for Veterans all around the county, state, and even country.

Approximately ten years ago, one of our staff members was asked to be the Key Note speaker at a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Morris County Courthouse in Morristown based on the reputation and success of the Veteran's Day program at Lakeview School. Being a Veteran as well as a teacher, in her speech, she incorporated music from the Veteran's Day program. Impressed with the performance, etiquette, and high standards the students were held to, the students have been asked to come back annually as a permanent part of the program.

The ceremony took place on the front lawn of the County Courthouse at noon on May 23. We at Lakeview School, are very proud to say we have the honor and privilege to pay homage and respect to Veterans at this county-level ceremony.

The end of the year is filled with many exciting events. The fifth grade play, field trips, Olympic Day (June 15th)
and the Fifth Grade Recognition Ceremony. It has been a wonderful year, and we look forward to celebrating all of the students' accomplishments and hard work.

Working together we will continue to provide a positive learning environment where all the children of Lakeview can work to their full potential.

"Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success."
