The concept of the Park It Family Fun Tour started 7 years ago in Macomb County by two entertainment and marketing promoters. It all started at the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre and has now expanded throughout Michigan and into Ohio as well.

But most importantly it has expanded to Livonia in partnership with our Livonia Parks and Recreation Department.
Livonia's Art in the Park

The typewriter loves to hear from readers. Better than bills.

Charlie Mahoney:  I echo your appreciation for Bob and Janet Bennett -- thanks for reminding all of us that they are the City of Livonia - following in their footsteps will keep our City moving forward - great role models for all.

Steve King:  Well said in regards to Bob and Janet. Livonia's greatest first family.

Cathy Lute Klockner:  Bob Bennett is one of the few politians whom I respect. A man of his word and a true gentleman.

Eileen Matzelt McDonnell:  He is a man of honor, always service before self. He is an example of how all of our leaders should lead. Thank you Bob for everything.

Stacey Dogonski:  One could only dip a toe in the shadow of his amazing leadership. He is a champion for all things Livonia we enjoy today. His legacy will shine on for future generations and that is the true spirit of Livonia. Honored to know and learn from Bob.

Sue Crawford Poster:  Bill, Your article/letter about Bob Bennett and his legacy has moved me to tears. Bob and Janet have been a beacon of light to many people and organizations in the City of Livonia. I am privileged that I got to know them and to be involved in a small way with one of their pet projects. How Bob has found the energy to do all he has done is mind boggling. He and Janet are truly Livonia Royalty. Thank you for your tribute, for voicing what many of us have been thinking

Lindsay Bennett Spence:  I will show all of your nice comments to my Dad. He will be very touched - then embarrassed, then wonder what all the fuss is about! I am so grateful and proud that so many of you appreciate my parents so much. They are pretty amazing people. Thank you for your kind words.

Voted People's Choice #1 at Taste of Livonia
Feedback on one candidate's platform

Sorry candidates but the typewriter had so much fun looking at the unique offerings we have in Livonia to include with this issue that all the flyers in the mail from: Eileen McDonnell, Susan Nash, Dennis Wright, Lynda Scheel, Tim Klisz, Scott Bahr, Brett Gierak, Brian Duggan and Cathy White are still sitting here waiting for consideration.

9 campaign flyers in one day. Must be a record. At least for the typewriter it is.

Jim Jolly can be excused for not hitting the mail box with his literature as on June 30 Katie and Jim became the proud parents of James David (JD) Jolly. Beats campaign literature every day of the day.

I look forward to Monday for a talk with you about the statements, promises and visions of the candidates taken from the literature.

In the meantime welcome JD Jolly.
