Friends Spring Book Sale is just around the corner
The Friends of the Library have announced their Spring Book Sale dates--Thursday, April 26 through Sunday, April 29--to be held in the Main Library Meeting Room. Paperbacks, hard covers, fiction, non-fiction, and children's books can all be had for bargain prices. The first day, April 26 is a private sale for Friends Members. ( Membership information is available here!) The sale is then open to the public for three days.

The Friends of the Library manage the sale and relocation of a large portion of library book donations and discards to raise funds that supply the libraries with useful materials and equipment. The Museum Pass program, movie licenses for all locations, children's summer reading program supplies and prizes, craft equipment, special books and magazines including a Flipster edition of Consumer Reports are just a few of the annual, supportive contributions that are made by the Friends of Woodbridge Township Libraries. A new feature in this e-newsletter will highlight Friends of the Library sponsored services, news and events.

Mark your calendar to visit the Spring Book Sale for some great reads at a great price and to support the Friends of the Library.
Visit us at the Woodbridge Public Library table at Boscov's Health and Wellness Event, Woodbridge Center Mall, Tuesday, February 13, from 3-5 pm.

Woodbridge Township Libraries will now allow more than five CDs to be checked out at one time. There is also no longer a $1 check-out fee for DVDs . Click on the links in this article to search our catalog for your favorites.

Volunteer Hours for
Young Adult Book Reviews

You asked, we listened. For those in need of more community service hours, you now have another option! Here’s how it works:

  • You read a book at least 100 pages in length.
  • You fill out the form we provide in the library, which includes information about the book, and a 1.5-page review (I.e., Half of the front and the entire back of the page) of the book.
  • Turn the form in--we give you one hour of community service for every 100 pages read. So if you read a 374-page book, you get three hours.

That’s it. It’s easy!
