Fright Night 2012 in Downtown Fort Wayne! 

Are you ready for Fright Night 2012?
This year is going to be filled with events for all ages.
Events start on Saturday, October 20, at 10 a.m. and last until 4 a.m.
With over 16 active events occurring in downtown Fort Wayne,
our one recommendation is to get your sleep the night before!
 
Zombie Prom!  Zombie Walk!  Pumpkin Crafts!  Ghost Tours!  Rocky Horror Picture Show!
 
Cinema Center: Braineaters' Ball 

 

When: Saturday, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Where: Cinema Center

Back for a second year among the walking dead, the Braineaters' Ball will be held at Cinema Center, 437 E. Berry St. as part of Downtown Fright Night. A zombifying mix of movies, art, music and dancing, the Braineaters' Ball will also features a "Living Dead Diner" theme this year, serving up diner food from JumBy's JoiNt. Admission to Braineaters' Ball is free and open to all ages.

A Better Fort presents  
The Zombie Prom


When:
 Saturday, 8 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Where: Thirsty Camel

A Better Fort is bringing you another great event: The Zombie Prom! To be held the night of Fright Night in downtown Fort Wayne at the Thirsty Camel, this promises to be a prom that you will never forget. Wear your best halloween or zombie costume and show up for $1 beers! $5 cover.

Rocky Horror Picture Show


When: Saturday, 9:15 p.m.
Where: Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory

Let's do the time warp agaaaaain! The movie will be shown outside on the Terrace, weather permitting; please dress accordingly. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the movie starts at 9:15 p.m.

Artlink: Dead Artist Ball


When:
Saturday, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Where:
 Auer Center  

Dress as your favorite artists at the Dead Artist Ball where we will also celebrate the opening of three exhibitions: "Letter. Words. Books. Exhibit", "A Celebration of Freedom Exhibit" and Artwork by Audrey Riley.

Embassy Theatre: Ghost Tour 



When: Saturday, 11 p.m. - 4 a.m.
Where: Embassy Theatre

This special offering for ghost-hunt enthusiasts is a rare opportunity to spend the night at the Embassy Theatre. The Embassy is also offering tunnel tours and a 1919 film showing!

Kids Scavanger Hunt

 

 

When: Saturday, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Where: Parkview Field

Children and their families are invited to the centerfield concourse at Parkview Field to pick up a scavenger hunt form in order to register to win prizes. Ghosts and jack-o'-lanterns will be hanging around the concourse as a part of the hunt. Participants will take a lap around Parkview Field and try to spot as many ghosts and jack-o'-lanterns as possible, and then turn in their form.

Halloween Haunt

When: Saturday, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Where: Community Center

This family-friendly event includes kids' crafts and games like Halloween cornhole, pumpkin bowling, and pick-the-pumpkin.

Zombie Machine!



When:
Saturday, 2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Where: ACPL Lawn  

The Zombie Machine returns this Saturday at the Allen County Public Library Lawn. This is a FREE event where you can get your face painted and become "zombified" for the Zombie Walk! TAG Art is heading up the face-painting station. There will also be live performances and activities. This is fun for the whole family!

Zombie Snot


When:
Saturday, 2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Where: ACPL Lawn Area

Learn to make zombie snot with Science Central on the lawn at the main branch of the Allen County Public Library! This is a free event!

Grand Wayne Center: Gala & Rave!


 

When: Saturday, 6 p.m. - Midnight
Where: Grand Wayne Center

Ghostly Gala is 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 pm. The Halloween season casts a not-too-scary spell at a family-friendly costume dance and parade. Fort Wayne School of Dance and DJ Laura keep the little monsters groovin' to favorite Halloween tunes. Free admission!

The Ikasucon Halloween Rave is 7:30 p.m. - Midnight. Dance and Costume Contest. 

$5 Admission - 12 and under must be accompanied by adult.

Fright Nightmares

 

 

When: Saturday, 7 p.m.

Where: St. Francis Performing Arts Center (formerly Scottish Rite)  

 

FWDC presents its 4th annual Halloween show. The performance aptly titled, "Fright Nightmares," will include original works by local choreo-graphers. Twenty-five local dancers will perform dances with themes that vary from being abducted by aliens, chased by the unknown, locked in a cage with remnants from the movie, "Carrie."

Come dressed in your favorite cosplay, steampunk, or zombie attire for dancing and fun. Free for age 12 and up; registration required.

Lantern light tours and tales of actual paranormal experiences with appearances by the Headless Horseman. $2 under 12 free with adult

Murder, Mystery & Mayhem

Where: Indiana Hotel Lobby

ARCH's Historic Tales of Fort Wayne's Nefarious Past Walking Tours - Indiana Hotel Lobby 125 W. Jefferson Blvd. Tours are every hour on the hour. This tour is not another ghost tour. During this tour we will tell you the true dark history of Fort Wayne from disastrous building collapses to hangings and bloody battles. This tour may not be suitable for all ages, however, all ages are welcome.  $10 Adults, $5 for 6 - 17yrs, 

free for kids 5 & under.
