From the Desk of Our Executive Director
The week before our Annual FREE Children's Faire always feels like the days leading up to an exciting holiday. Staff at 4Cs are buzzing with preparations and excitement, entertainers are fine-tuning their performances, agency partners are gearing up for a busy day, and the fire department is shining up their big red fire engine that will be visiting the Faire. Every year I look forward to greeting hundreds families at the entrance with a bag of goodies and a smile. This year, we are exited to get your blood pumping with the addition of a huge inflatable obstacle course and bouncy house for kids young and old. Visit our event page for up-to-the-minute information about the day, view our agency video with a sneak peak from last year's Children's Faire, and be sure to say "hi" as you enter our Children's Faire this Saturday. I'll be at the Welcome Table with a special goody bag just for you!

In Partnership,

Renee S. Herzfeld

P.S. Thank you to all who participated in East Bay Gives and donated to 4Cs of Alameda County on May 4th. With your help, we raised more than $1,150 for our programs supporting families, children, and child care providers in Alameda County! Missed East Bay Gives? You can always donate to 4Cs on our website.

Thank You, VITA Volunteers
A VERY Successful VITA Season

We want to thank our team of volunteers for another successful tax filing season!  Our volunteers put in hours of study and certification long before working with clients during our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site open season. Each volunteer works a total of 95 - 100 hours during the tax season. Many of our volunteers have been with us for over 5 years because they love what they do!
Combined, they filed 352 tax returns,  resulting in $558,048.00 in refunds to the community of Alameda County! So cheers to you, volunteers!

Please check our website early next year for site hours, a list of what you need to bring, and if you would like to join our team of volunteers in helping give back to our community.
