From the Desk of Our Executive Director
The countdown is on! Just two days until 4Cs' 16th Annual Free Children's Faire, and 19 days until we vote Yes on A and give thousands of Alameda County's youngest learners furthest from opportunity access to high quality early care and education and increase pay for child care providers throughout the county. Both the Children's Faire and Measure A embody the work and mission of 4Cs of Alameda County: 4Cs exists to develop and coordinate resources to strengthen families and children. My work on the taskforce in finding a solution to the Alameda County child care crisis, and my role as Executive Director of 4Cs overseeing the agency's programs and services, culminate, this year, in Measure A and the Children's Faire. Even more exciting, is that you are an integral part of making both a success. Vote on Yes on Measure A  on June 5th, and join me and the rest of the 4Cs' team this Saturday, May 19th from 10am-1pm at our main office in Hayward for a day of fun and community - and help us celebrate 45 years serving Alameda County!

Be well,

More Than 400 Returns Filed

The  2017 Tax Season has come to an end and 4Cs' Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers celebrated a record-breaking year for our tax site! This year, the 16th year of 4Cs' VITA program, our VITA team completed 394 tax returns via e-file and 9 paper tax returns breaking our average record of 350 tax returns by more than 50. Our volunteers donated a combined 1000 hours in training and tax preparation. The VITA program helped return over $631,000 back to Alameda County families. Thank you to our VITA volunteers for sacrificing your personal time with family and friends to give back to the community you live and work in. We appreciate you!
