Children in 1st-6th grade are invited to join Music Makers, our afterschool music program that meets on Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm at PVUMC. Led by Brett Robison, music and arts director, and Ashley Snavley, assistant director, the group learns how to sing as well as play Orff instruments. Instruction includes how to read music, learn rhythm, and how to play chimes and bells. This Sunday, we'll have some fun instruments outside the Sanctuary before and after the 9:30 am service for your children to play, and we'll have information to share about our music programs for children, youth and adults. 
 

Join us for National Back to Church Sunday on September 21 when we welcome special guest speaker, Kevin Leman. Dr Leman is a bestselling author and a parenting / relationship expert. He'll talk about how to "Have a Happy Family by Friday,"in worship and will return later in the afternoon and the next day for a total of three more presentations. Tickets are available for these follow-up events at the church office, and at a table on the patio outside the Sanctuary and Chapel on September 7 and 14. Get yours today!

If you are in town this Labor Day weekend, we invite you to join us for worship at 8, 9:30 or 11:15 am. It's Family Sunday, when our children join us for worship at 9:30 am in lieu of Sunday School classes. Classes for age 5 and under will be available, and our Child Care Center will be open. We'll have Praise Paks for our kindergarten-6th graders, available for worship when you come in the door.

Please note that our 11 am worship service meets at 11:15 am in the Chapel, and is a distinctive alternative to our 8 and 9:30 traditional worship services. We encourage you to participate in this service and pray that you leave challenged and re-energized to ignite, transform and connect with God and others in the community. If you would like to join us for a time of prayer before the service, join our small group at 11 am in a room near the Chapel. Please look for signs. All are welcome. Invite a friend!
