THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT NEWSLETTER

The holidays are soon upon us.  There are several articles in this issue to help you prepare your building for Winter Closure.  By now, you should have submitted building holiday hours via the form from Moira Hafer, Office of Sustainability. Winter Closure is a joint effort between Facilities Energy Management, Zone Management, BGM, and the Office of Sustainability to save energy by turning off mechanical systems . If you have not sent the form yet, please email your Winter Closure schedule right away.  Included on the form are check boxes to let us know if your building needs locking services or custodial support during the break.  Stanford's Custodial Team is also off for the holidays, so make sure you have scheduled clean up after seasonal events.  Another thing to be aware of is break room refrigerators - clean them out before you go so you aren't surprised on January 4 th !

BGM will be working over the break to deliver preventative services and small maintenance projects that can only be done when classes are not in session.  The majority of BGM shops are closed over the break as is the rest of the campus.  Any additional requests should be submitted the first week in December so they can be added to the schedule if possible.

Have a great vacation break and enjoy friends and family!  Remember those in need.
